R3 does not have ABS. For that money buy a CBR250R and get Dainese/Alpinestars riding gears from head to toe and you will still have some left.

So. I changed my front brake pads today all on my own i might add. Its done only 7000 kms approximately. Its an abs version. Is that normal. Coz my duke 390 brake pads last 15000 kms.

Here's the thing R3 is completely different bike compared to CBR its twin cylinder engine and is alot more expensive at this point. The only downside is lack of ABS but the standard brakes on R3 are also good even in CBR they are good but ABS gives you more confidence especially in rain. If not having ABS is not a deal breaker for you then go ahead.

Same thing happened to one of my friend when his engine oil had completely dried up.. Did you check engine oil level ?
It's the journey that matters, not the destination.

Bt I doubt that's an issue...coz I hv actually ridden it without a single drop of engine oil before...though I am nt proud of myself but that was a day when I fell in love with my machine all ovr again fr it's nvr say die attitude

CBR is pocket friendly to maintain, also has advantage of ABS and usable pillion seat. R3 is a twin cylinder bike with much higher performance compared to CBR. Hope you know, for a CKD bike, service/repair cost always will be a bit high. If you not worried about expenses or ABS, go ahead with R3 plan. its a great bike.

NS is also equally good.Selling NS and buying CBR won't give you that much of a boost.because frankly speaking you are selling a single and buying another single with minor power improvement.I would say stick to NS and go for a better twin cylinder or maybe 4.benelli 300 is a great bike if you consider twin.Yamaha R3 is way overpriced and I wouldn't go for it as it will be heavy on mantainancr

Is it still a good option to buy an cbr..
Or should i go ahead with d390 v2

I m currently riding a p200 ns done 89 k on it.. And seriously need a new ride.

So my main question is can the cbr last 5 years with dedicated riding??

And any suggestions would be good..
Baby cbr is really a good machine.
Comfort levels are very good once you get used to its dynamics.

Only problem with this bike is lot of niggles and issues here and there which are result of incompetent service centres and our indian (jugad) maintenance practices.
But then same is the case with KTM too...
I have heard maintenance and service centre issues with KTM guys too.

Although despite of many niggles my cbr never left me in trouble in the middle of any journey and i can swear of its reliability

So in my opinion if you want a calm and composed ride with decent behaviour go for cbr or if you are power hungry and want something brutal with hooliganism in it go for KTM

                          Burn the rubber, they said
it would be fun, they said

Check your battery, the most likely reason would be the battery losing charge over usage. I've had this problem twice, it was always the battery for me.

Regarding this I have one little question. Currently I'm out of my hometown and the CBR will get started after an year almost. Will the recharging of battery suffice it or shall I opt for a new one?

                                CBR is now 2yrs old.
