    Ohhh....I always thought that the yellow light only flashes when there is an issue with the fuel injection or the engine

      Hi aaddey,

      The yellow light will not flash to show issues with battery.

      If the battery is not able to crank the engine when starter button is pressed, a relay will cut battery from the system and reconnect back the next second to protect the electronic components from the weak source. Due to this the ECU starts to do the initial system check and yellow light starts to glow. When u repeat pressing the start button the relay will cut battery and reconnects it and you see yellow light coming on for every unsuccessful starting of engine due to weak battery.

      And as you said yellow light flashes when (mostly without pressing the start button) ECU detects any issues FI/Electronics only.

          CBR is now 2yrs old.
          You gotta check the output of the battery with a multimeter. If it's below 10 volts, the battery is kaput, and the replacing it is the best option. If it's not, then you can try recharging it again, and testing it out. When leaving the bike without usage for long periods of time, it is advisable to disconnect the terminals, so discharge doesnt take place. A battery also tends to lose charge faster in cold conditions. I usually remove it and keep it in my room, plus chennai isnt really a cold place!

          My ceeber is 4 years this December. Still gets me excited as she did on day 1.

            Yeah, the battery heads are disconnected but it has been kept inside the bike. Let's see what I can find after I reach home.

                    Has any one changed the battery on the CBR? Is yes, what brands ?? Exide and ProBikeRider are what I have come across and am keen on getting the PBR..

                    Any other choices?

                        Yeah yeah, the battery has been disconnected but it's inside the bike but I don't thibk that's any problem. Just curious to know what happens to a battery in this kind of situation; i.e. Battery is in unused condition for close to an year with head disconnected.

                          Hello. I will be getting my CBR250r in couple of days. Going for Red-Silver CBR250r C-ABS (used). The first owner is still using ContiGo tire in front which is complately bald and he has put CEAT ZOOM D in rear which is in good condition. But as I will be riding the bike to my home baroda from pune, I am thinking of changing both the tires. Now the dillema is MRF or Michelin. I am getting Michelin Street Radial tire set (front & rear) in 8600 INR and MRF Revz C 150/60 (rear) for 3200 INR and Revz FC 110/70 (front) for 2300 INR (set in 5500 INR). For which one should I go? My daily riding will be from home to office, weekend rides (with little cornering) and more of touring. Is that necessary to keep both, front and rear tires of same make and treads or it is ok to have combination of tires (like MRF in front and Michelin in rear)? Is it ok to put MRF Revz C 150/60 tire in rear though stock size is 140/70? Now suggest please ASAP.

                            Go for the Michelin set. Worth the extra moolah (I got them on mine). But make sure you find the "Made in Thailand" label on them, because there are a few duplicates in the market.

                                Guys, any idea if the hollow type stem nut is still kept as stock in the SVC which used to come with the older CBR's, mine is the closed type and I am thinking of getting a RAM mount kit which an be fixed into the stem nut area.
                                If not I am looking into Yoshimura stem nets, comes at around $28. Also need to check if any shops here in India actually stock these Yoshi nuts.

                                BTW, Did some 3-4k kms just after completing the tyres to Michilins, have to say the whole feel of the bike had changed, particularly because i was running on a really pathetic 19k run contigos with constant pressure drop and minute punctures. Need to get steel braided lines for the brakes and a fork overhaul and the bike will be as good as new again. The Shell oil is doing wonders , bike runs much smoother and gear shifts are slicker for sure even after 4k kms. Might change oil within another 1k kms or so.
