Please fix the RVMs, they are there for some reason. Legally there is nothing against it though.

Ask ASS guys to fix the RVMs properly. its not safer to turn your head each side to know whats happening behind you... Even if your confident, you are deviating from the front view for half a second, also you cannot see exactly whats behind you, than some shades. Especially this is India!! When you have beautiful bike, enjoy and ride safe. nothing legal or illegal...Its all about your life.

No, there isn't any problem with the mirrors nor the place where the mirror ia bolted, many CBR 250 ridden and still did not had any issues with mirrors.

If you play with the mirrors frequently it will become loose. Few pages back@ashwinprakas has suggested a method to tighten the mirror properly. Please try that.

And a warning!!!!, do not ever ride without rear view mirror.

            Cheers,
            Sanjay

Hello all First of all thanks for maintaining this thread it helped in making my mind to go for CBR 250 R. I got my bike delivered yesterday. Its pretty normal ride since ASC guy told me not to rev the engin too hard till first service.

                  Few questions.
Can I remove the rear view mirrors, I guess its not violating any traffic rules.
what king of helmet lock is good for cbr 250.
Rear view mirrors "SHOULD BE" installed on a motorcycle, irrespective of who rides it. A motorcyclist is more prone to sideswipes as opposed to a car, purely because of the speeds with which motorcycles can shoot and, and the overall vulnerability as a biker. Not everybody has eyes on the sides of their head. Forget, maneuverability, forget laws, forget style quotient, it's all about your own personal safety, you as a biker out there and others' safety. Imagine an elderly person walking to your left and you just start the bike and take to the left right away without noticing the person, and swipe him, who's here to blame? See, real word scenarios are fare more unexpected than one can think and especially when on a motorcycle, you can't afford to make a mistake

The stalk never vibrates too bad to affect ones composure, my left mirror vibrates very faintly at around 3 to 3.4-4-ish, very, very subtle, some wouldn't even consider it as vibration. Ask them to tighten with very thin fiber or rubber washers that should reduce the vibration.

                  Cheers!

My Left side RVM was a little unsteady/shaky. Replaced those factory fitted RVM bolts by ss Allen key bolts with washers and tightened them up! Now its fine!

Philips T10 LED with 4000/6000K rating costs 1500 bucks. Thats too costly for me.
Instead, I get pair of osram 5w T10 LED free with two extreme vision plus bulb in powerbulbs.Com for total of 2K bucks.
Mostly I will try that. But I dono the temperature/ lumen rating of those free LED.if it doesn't fit/match,I will settle with stock position lamps.Thinking of giving a try.

Here are some Pics from my last night ride on Banglore Hyderabad Highway.

Few Points - Post 5000 RPM(80 kmh approx) in 6th gear Bike seems not delivering the Power linearly. I did'nt push the throttle fully but I felt some amount of roughness. Is it because of new engine. Will it be smooth after first service.
