Is that a new bike I see? At least for the first 2000 KMS the engine would be power constrained and yes a little tight, you would feel the bike requiring frequent gear shifts, and yes the tightness is what makes it feel harsh. You can rev it cleanly till 7k with absolutely no fuss even during running in period, occasional short bursts are absolutely fine. Post 3 to mid 4k KMS you can feel the engine freeing up and rev more freely.

    It's absolutely normal.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Thought I could share this pic of recently mounted F1 brake lights. I added this because while touring if I load her with my backpack in the pillion seat, sometimes the brake light is not visible from near by angles. They blink while breaking. It neatly fits with in the mud flap and looks nice too.

Though it looks cool and does what it is meant to do, it is a menace to the person/people around. It hurts eyes real bad. In fact it is so popular in BLR that you can find autos/cars/bikes etc sporting one and traffic cops have a gala time fining all offenders.
          Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Believe me even I do complaint abt the eye sore.. But this one I saw in a car shed being fitted to some cars and it isn't that bright. That's why I opted for this. May be the wattage diff matters. Also I'm planning to get a black translucent sticker to make it look like smoked so that it's more milder to the eyes.

Since we were talking abt the head lamp bulb and pilot lamp LED's. Here is a pic to get an idea of how it looks like.
Bulb: Philips xtreme vision 100% temp 3700k 55/60W
            Pilot lamps:stock

The low beam is kinda whitish pale yellow and the high beam is more towards yellowish.

If anyone has got led pilot lamps please post pic so that we can see how it looks. I kinda didn't like the scattered light of the white LED's as they are too bright.

Even if u manage to park it perfectly, somehow it will be scratched. The first time you fall, the first scratch on the bike hurts the most. But as they say, time will heal most wounds..

Please change the pilot light to led . Believe me the bike will during night-time will have a different look . The stock does not justify the beast 250 R .

Philips w5w; is it a T10 white pilot lamp? Direct fit to CBR?

Here is the link to discuss light related issues on motorcycles : http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/universa...g-hid-etc.html

The point of taking light related things into the general thread is that everyone should be aware of the experimentation and other aftermarket lights being used, so that everyone benefits from that and not only CBR250 owners.

                              Hope Mods don't mind this

                              Hi Kiran,

Where did you get those parking/pilot bulbs of Philips and the price ?

With 4000K the spread should be good If not better.
