    Hello folks,

Can I get the 2018 stickering anywhere? Please do let me know.

Also, is it advisable to put up radiator guards (from AliExpress) or not? I don't want the radiator to be damaged from debris or muck or jet sprays while washing.

    Please let me know.

Haven't been around the forums for a year. But while i wait to plan and nab a 650R next year or down the line, I realized it wouldn't be worthwhile to sell my 8 year old 250R off. Decided to give it some updated parts in the meantime so was wondering if anybody over the last year or so has done the headlight swap from the new 250R onto the old one. Would like to know what parts I would need to order and would it involve splicing the wires?

p.s. The forum search function was pretty useless. a search for headlights came up with 2016 discussions. Hence the query.

A YouTuber named Strell has done a detailed video on headlight swap in his CBR250R. He seems to have some issues with the highbeam flasher it seems but I don't remember well.

What's the review of Motul Coolant in CBR?

I've heard that the radiator parts are made from aluminium and the silicate in Motul damages the materials in time which leads to coolant leakage in the engine oil which may ultimate lead to engine seizures.

Can anyone please verify this? I'm on OEM coolant and would like to keep the options for different products open.

Also, has anybody have a review for any other coolant? Wurth or Engine Ice?
Try out engine ice coolant. They seem to be working great on CBR 250R.

When it comes to stickerings your best option is checking at nearest SVC and coming to radiator guard I never used one in 7 years it blocks air which I don't like idea of it because its defeats the purpose , I had pretty banged up radiator which was working fine but I changed it because its almost 7 years old bike and almost 60% fins were bent and putting a gaurd on top of radiator is like using radiator with bent fins.
For debris you don't have to worry much just clean the bike after ride through dirt that's and don't use jets sprays at all in that area.

Thanks a lot everyone for answering my earlier queries.

As I'm a second owner of the CBR, the warranty is anyway void, and hence I'm trying different brands on the CBR.

I'm from Mumbai, Dombivli specifically. Does anybody here know a really good two wheeler workshops in and around Mumbai where I can take my bike for servicing from experts?

Would be a big help. The next service is far away like 5 months, but would like to be armed with the information beforehand. Thanks a lot.

Yes I've heard too. But I won't be able to use third party oils and equipments when I service the bike right?

Hence asked for an independent SVC in the vicinity of Mumbai.

Since you're out of warranty you can use your own oils. I've done the same there many times.

Talk to the CBR mechanic, he's generally ok with such kind of requests.

Heard from recent user of the new CBR about the new led setup provided by Honda. They say the light is not up to the mark and if you fuse 1 bulb, you will need to get the whole setup changed (Not my words but the owners' words). I wanted to do the same but they recommend using the bs3 housing with a good led bulb like cyclops.

I know many people are against exhaust modifications, but i just tested this hrc Honda cbr 250 one make endurance exhaust for a couple of weeks, and now back on my stock exhaust for obvious reasons. The following is what i noticed
1)engine pulls as low as 2000 or 3000 rpm without clutch engaged soo my use of the clutch drastically reduced.
2)my use of the horn also reduced [emoji14], the sound of the exhaust isn't obnoxious, in the low to mid range revs, you can be quite silent if on a gentle throttle but top end sounds very sweet but for road use would definitely suggest a db killer. What I've noticed people definitely notice you compared to the stock.
3)top end is as good if not better than the stock surprisingly without a ecu remap
                            4)mid range definitely feels better
5)i know many people would say it will ruin the bike in terms of the engine reliability, which is true without a ecu flash and air filter change soo hence i only tested it and back on stock. My reason for purchasing the exhaust was it was directly from the 250r one make from hrc here in India and as you've noticed a direct fit with a little bit if jugaad.
                            6) Weight saving can definitely be felt, i felt more confident in the corners compared to the stock exhaust as well but i felt the need of slightly improving my braking since I'm on a non abs model.
7)bike funnily felt a lot smoother, this is something i have no explanation for and the rhythm of the revs all changed and felt good
Sweet! Was this exhaust provided to the racers by the HRC or a custom fabricated one? The list of pros that you've enlisted would mean, the exhaust isn't the one punched on sweat shops like many people do. Definitely would ruin the life of the engine if not properly calibrated especially the intake and the maps required. Nevertheless, l'd like to hear more on this.

That would be a better option to use, especially LED bulbs. Not only in the CBR's LED unit, in any bike that are equipped with LEDs out there, if a bulb fails, the entire unit has to be changed, as those LED buttons are not replaceable, unless one's expertly skilled in removing and soldering and what not, again not recommended. It's better to use LED bulbs on a BS3 housing, cheap, very efficient and replaceable.

                            Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                            The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

It was directly from the one make 250s which are being replaced by the moto 3spec 47bhp 250s, soo yes the bend the bottle, is pretty legitimate and the source i got it from is as well, and yes it was used in the racing, i got it for 8k the system soo pretty good deal, soo in terms of noise, i can always put a db killer and fueling definitely need a ecu flash n air filter change. I have kept the exhaust either way for track use eventually.

That is same case with all LED headlight equipped bikes, be it KTM 390, FZ 25, Dominar etc etc not only with CBR250R.
LED's are soldered on to a PCB with a controller, so even if 1 bulb fails no company offers single bulb replacement, you have to replace the full unit.

Only that if you know someone who is and/are good at soldering and autoworks, they can dismantle the headlight and repair the single LED replacing it with exact replacement specs LED.

Also, coming to brightness part apart from Dominar, every other LED headlights fail to impress me interms of illumination in rain or infront of bright headlights of oncoming traffic.

Edit - B7ACKTHORN has already answered the bulb replacement, I missed reading it.
