I'm also looking for a used ceeber and got a lead. Gonna see the bike tomorrow. Its a 2016 make, ABS, ran about 30K-35K kms. Owner is quoting 1.5L and my mechanic says can get for 1.25L since the rear tire needs replacement and need to buy insurance as well. Don't know the condition or even the colour of the bike yet, will have to check tomorrow.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
One thing pointed out by another member on a different thread was that the CBR was discontinued after April 2017 due to BS3 and the motorcycle I'm looking at is May 2017 registered and the owner has mentioned 'first owner' in the ad.Originally posted by inimaitimepass View PostNot exactly the help you needed, nevertheless...

Could this be a case of the dealer purchasing the bike and then transferring it to the owner, meaning I could effectively be the third owner?
How can I verify the same? Before you climb Everest, you have to conquer the mountain inside your head.

Read that!Originally posted by ManasN95 View PostOne thing pointed out by another member on a different thread was that the CBR was discontinued after April 2017 due to BS3
AFAIK, just the production got stopped due the emission norms that were set to be effective from April'17. Don't worry about the registration date, the bike might've been in the inventory for quite a time. Get the VIN number and check when the bike was manufactured. That should be enough.Originally posted by ManasN95 View Postthe motorcycle I'm looking at is May 2017 registered and the owner has mentioned 'first owner' in the ad.

Does that mean it's no longer being produced?Originally posted by inimaitimepass View PostRead that!

BS3 models were stopped and been replaced with BS4, the bike is in production and on sale, still.Originally posted by Zapps View PostDoes that mean it's no longer being produced?
Honda sells roughly 400-500 ceebers a month ever since the introduction of BS4 models.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It's pretty hard to tell, since this is the case of spotting. But what piques my interest is the area where we have spotting on your bike. Spotting can indeed be a leak. What I'd suggest is, wash the area thoroughly with water and if possible clean the area with a rag dipped in solvents such as diesel or kerosne at that particular place and let it dry and observe for a few days. If you feel spotting or weeping it would be visible in a few days or after a spirited ride. If we have spotting or weeping, then we have trouble. If possible click some photos on the side of your engine (i.e. magneto) cover so that we can get an idea if it's a leak somewhere and then drips or what not. Keep your observations posted.Originally posted by bharath7 View PostHello All, I found these in my bike. Are these oil leaks?

Clean that area and watch for any leaks over a week or so. There is a return oil gallery coming from head to down the sump. It has happened with me earlier - required replacement of head gasket. The leak was quite minimal though.Originally posted by bharath7 View PostHello All, I found these in my bike. Are these oil leaks?
They were greasy to touch and did not seem to be constantly leaking.
Please advise...

Thanks to both of you. This is a direct result of some very spirited driving on that particular day.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostClean that area and watch for any leaks over a week or so. I immediately went to a nearby service center today and showed them the pictures. The mechanic says it is not unusual and that the O-Rings have to be replaced. It is probably a job of 30 minutes to 1 hour.
What surprises me is that the bike is just 6 months old!!!
But i will do what you asked me to. I am curious myself to investigate this.
Thanks again

Re: Honda CBR 250R
You have a sticker mark on the swingarm that tells you do you have enough life left on the sprocket or not red and green. A visual cue to an end of life sprocket/chain kit is, check where the markings on the chain adjuster vis-a-vis where the axle nut is. If you see the axle nut to the extreme end of the adjuster, which indicates no more room for adjustment then it's time to replace the sprocket/chain kit.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View PostOdo of my CBR is around 28,000 km. I've been advised to change the chain sprocket. It'll cost me arnd 3100 rs (including labour charges)
Is this OK ?

Is this OK ?Can you post a picture of the left side swingarm? It would look exactly like this. See the markings and wear indicator sticker on the swingarm.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View PostThx a lot bro. Here r some pics of it.
