Guys would really like to know there's no danger of running a smaller rear tyre on ur bike, I understand handling will be affected anything else beyond that? The stock size is 140/70 I'm using a 140/60 gixxer tyre?

I don't think this much change in profile is any problem, NINJA 250 is more powerful but uses a smaller profile tyre. So initially take it slow but it's not a problem per se.

If you are having ABS then it may because with changed tyre profile there is always a speedo error(might not be in CBR though because it has sensors somewhere else I believe ,but not sure)
Although I would recommend to stick to manufacturer specs because they would have done a lot of testing and came to this conclusion of the tyre profile

True that, I been wanting to change, not having the money atm, been running the smaller rear for 8000km , non-abs model, speedo error? Yes I've heard of that some 3-5kmph it would differ, its not a big issue but I do feel a lot less confident around corners, I got the smaller profile tyre as a temp fix as my stock conti punctured countless times, which was incredibly annoying, using a 140/60-17 gixxer tyre , my front conti was fine, thought I'd change both tyres together rather than just one then.

Yes I saw some posts from you about the tire getting punctured. How about the stock MrF that comes with the new ones.

Yes I'm going for the mrf stock size tyres only when I'm gonna purchase. This smaller tyre I procured for free courtesy my uncle who was working on the gixxer cup bikes soo had a spare, I'm attaching pics of my front tyre, can anyone tell me if its lost grip or not? Figured I rather change front and back together rather than changing one.

Doesn't seem like it has lost.

                    Hello biker.

The 1 ps bump was given in the new color schemes which was launched in 2013 (full black, full red, pearl sunbeam white). Earlier (2011-2013) it was 25 bhp and now (2013- till date) it is 26 bhp. The extra 1 bhp is due to ECU remap and doesn't matter much in the real world.

There is no such thing called 2016 CBR250R. The latest color schemes are all 2015 model wrapped in new clothes thats it. If anybody finds out a 2016 model, please share the info.

                    Cheers,
                    Sanjay

                      Hi All,

                      My first post!

I have booked a new CBR 250R ABS... I am confused between tri color which was launched in 2013 and sports red with graphics which was recently launched in August 2015...tri color looks amazing! I called the dealer to check the manufacturing date of the tri color and he informed me that the tri color model has a manufacturing date of 2015. My question is will there be any problem if I go for a model which was manufactured in 2015? Or should I go for the sports red which is manufactured in 2016?

                      Regards,
                      Rahul

Bhai, in the earlier post it is clearly mentioned as there is no 2016 model for CBR250r. they are all 2015 model wrapped in new clothes and to be honest the pearl sunbeam white color is the best color job on the CBR250R. Please see I own a black one but envy the tricolor . the 2016 color schemes does not look good when compared to earlier color schemes. The newer paint schemes for CBR150R are super hot though.

                        Cheers,

if your mind is hooked on tricolour, just pick it. nothing to worry because there is no change made to the hardware in 2015 or 16. you just check the manufacturing month and year from frame number and do PDI.

                            Hi Sanjay,

Yes I agree with you!...I will go ahead with pearl sunbeam white/ Tri color And the best part is I asked the dealer to replace the continental tyres (As it provides less grip on wet roads) with MRF Tyres which comes with new CBR250R color schemes and they agreed that the tyres will be replaced before delivery free of cost!

Yes, I will go ahead with tricolor. Will do a proper check before delivery

Saar!!! cbr mirrors have the longest span and Still that is insufficient.

You can try putting mirror extender just like one which has been done on the ninja san thread.

But trust me, cbr mirrors are more than enough. If you are looking for esthetics then, ZMR mirrors are straight fit.

If I say out loud that cbr mirrors are straight fit to ZMR, folks from the ZMR fraternity who care about rear view mirror or want a better rear vision, will replace it as it has wider span and gives a detailed view of whats happening back.

                                Cheers,
                                Sanjay
