Please don't mention it da, glad you sourced the part and saved yourself from getting shaved, close to 1.5k. Now what's pending are the the detailed mount procedure, which would really help us all once you're done with the installation.

P.S. Appreciate Aman for his duly help.

    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

    THE END

Not sure what you meant, if it is the RAM mount, its basically a phone/gps mounts , usually it comes with default mount to be latched onto straight handlebars like the ones you see on naked bikes. They have this special stem nut holder kit for clip on type handles, which needs to be inserted to the stem nut hole. Hence the need for a hollow stem nut.

Yes it can fit for the NS, but again hardly any space on the handlebars, so you must go for the stem nut kit, and again, for which you need the hollow stem nuts.

Cost comes about to 4.5k for the Normal kit and the stem nut kit together.

So I happened to go the honda SVC to change the oil to shell ultra 10w 40, but they said that they cannot change the oil inside their SVC as it is not authorized to put a different brand oil and all that stuff. Then I went into service manager's cabin explained him about the manual and also said HONDA has never put any compulsion that only honda oil has to be used and I tried to convince them But they did not listen.

So I went out and then came home, did the oil change along with oil filter and by mistakenly I poured in 1.6L of oil instead of 1.5L, will that be a problem. The engine was already warm, I drained the oil, changed the oil filter and then poured in new oil. Was the proper procedure followed ? And will 100 ml more oil make a difference ?

            Cheers,

For oil+filter change you need 1.6L of engine oil.

So, finally got the RAM mounts too.
Costed me a fair bit, but its supposed to be the best mounts out there and RAM mount guys do know what they are doing.
Posting a few pics of the unit, as soon as i get the stem nuts in my hands will do a swap and then do the mount install myself. Will update with the details here.

It holds our current day big smartphones easily and the grip is pretty solid. Pone in the pic is the one plus two.

all this while i was thinking it was something related to a RAM air mod
Do post some pics after its mounted.
@theironhorse99 and myself (duke 200) use a 350rs mount (Fly motorcycle gps mount). We attached it to the nut on the clutch yoke, and it's been holding up pretty good. Ive ridden extensively with it and not faced any issue except that it's not water proof. The mobile holder can be detached easily leaving the lower portion permanently fixed to the bike.

Wow..that is definitely a cost effective mounting solution. Does it work good for clip ons too ? With clip ons when the handles are in extreme inward position does this mount cause interference between the handle and the tank or something ? A POV shot from the riders position would really help to understand this.

@theironhorse99 uses it on his cbr and i know at least 3 other folks who use it on a CBR(150/200).
This is the mount Fly GPS,Mobile. Pda,Mp4 360 Adjustable Secure Holder: Amazon.in: Electronics
It is suggested to mount it at the rear view mirror stem on scooters and motorcycle. But since on the cbr the mirror is on the faring and the dukes' mirror stem is way too thick to go thru the tiny hole, we decided to fix it to the clutch yoke nut.
That long arm of the mount is totally flexible (but not flimsy) and you can twist it on the go as you wish to obtain your preferred angle/mounting position.
I had to do a minor mod i.e. duct taping the part where the mobile holder clips on to the bottom half via 4 hole mount point (since it felt a little flimsy) and I just remove the mount by unscrewing the round plastic nut thingy.

take it to the svc and have them trickle charge it over night. most battery shops simply do a quick charge (with a higher current rating) in a couple of hours, which would work but is not recommended to quick charge these batteries.

Obviously!! Time & again, I've been repeating here...just befriend them, if you talk rules in this country, be it with police, retailer, mechanic, lawyer or even beggar, they'll drag you to their level & beat you with their experience!! Anyway, good riddance of depending upon those stupid ASC for oil change; just learn air filter & oil filter change as well & you don't need to depend upon them too much.

Yup on a long; just ensure the below & you'll be good & keep checking it periodically for every 1500 Km or so

this is exactly what i was suggesting you . now what we got get fixed in a nut/bolt as we do not have standard handlebars in CBR.
for duke and other bike you can get similar mount for that setup for as low as 300 bucks. good ones.
yep been using for good 1 year almost. me and sid bought it almost same time and used it or trips together. works perfect.

Whenever the bike is started when cold there is this terrible loud rattling noise which seems like it's coming from the silencer area but for some reason I cannot say for sure. Initially it sounds like a rattling silencer cover but when you push around that area everything seems like they are firmly in place. As the bike heats up the sound subsides. One of the mechanics I went to said it could be a loose baffle in the silencer that sticks once hot. Is that a possible cause?

Has anyone else had such a problem?

                            Thanks!

Oh and I got the MRF Revz-FC tyre on the front and they seem quite great so far.
MRF is good for front infact newer radial is good for rear as well and yes it can be rusted baffle inside which is out of its welding joint. why not go to SVC and ask them to try the exhaust end from some other bike and compare. if thats the case the cheaper option is to get it weld fixed from outside unless you wanna buy a new exhaust.

drain it completely. remeasure 1.4 litre and then refill as this time you wont be changing filter.
more oil that suggested in chamber can eat up some space which is needed to move air in chamber while the piston moves up and down. can be harmful in long run.
