Goto Japan and live your dream. Don't dare to try this in India.

Try to contact Vikram from Motozone. He can help you in successfully installing ABS on non-ABS CBR. He has also installed ABS on a Ninja 300 and it works like a charm.

Hey guys,
I am seeing that mud is gathering on my cbr's radiator whenever i ride.

Picture is attached. What should i do to prevent this mud from gathering? Is a radiator guard a good option?

That much mud will accumulate even if you put radiator guard. Simple solution will be to clean it with brush and water once a week.

If you install radiator guard then things will get more messy and it will be a pain in arse to remove the mud from the guard as well.

I believe this much accumulation is ok and nothing to worry about. Almost all owners are living with this including me. Just clean it with water and brush.

Cheers,
Sanjay

+1 to the above post by Sanjay. Additionally, you can use toothpaste (yeah ) along with toothbrush and wash gently along the direction on those fins.
Its important that you don't bend fins. Don't rub them in the horizontal direction if they are vertical and vice versa.

P.S - Avoid toothpaste with gel. Colgate (normal, not the salted one) works best.

Take it out, put spacers in between, put thread locking compound on the threads and then tighten.

A sure shot way to kill vibes is to overbore the mount holes and bolts to the next size, though the only person I know who has done it is Moshit on his P180@P220.

I have seen three dealers in mumbai having pretty much everything for CBRs.

1. Preetam honda
2. Vihan Honda
3. Venetian honda

You can give a try at the above dealers.

Shell ultra users, I am going for an oil change. So before I pour in shell oil, do I need to use additives along with old oil and then drain it or.simply drain old oil and then pour in shell ultra.

Cheers,
Sanjay

The paint on handlebars sticks to my hand after every ride. Is it common for all CBRs? Do you guys use handlebar grips for CBR?

It is just the fingers or the entire palm area. If it is only the fingers then it is normal. Happens with almost all the levers made up of aluminium.
Suggestion: use a pair of gloves.

Mail2vasant, few pages back you informed us that honda scooter with a disc brake at front has the same brake pads as the cbr250r and its a direct fit.

Can we all have some more insights in this, I supoose you have tried this.

Yes. I got my disc pad changed from a local mechanic. He told me that they are from Aviator scooter. Have been using for almost 3-4k kms. The initial bite and the stopping power is almost as the hmsi ones. Pm for any further details.
