Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thanks bro,I'm aware of the bulbs performance since I'm already using those in my innova, was only skeptical if it would fit on the bike too..Originally posted by Vishal_G View PostYup it's a direct fit, my brother is using on his cbr250r. It's a considerable improvement over the stock bulb considering at 600₹, there are few options available.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Innova uses 60/55 H4 and the CBR uses the same bulb, so they are interchangeable. The Xtreme Vision is on par with Osram Nightbreakers. The Philips does produce a mix of yellow and white, and I'd personally recommend this over Osram. Though the latter is whiter in throw.Originally posted by Moshca View PostAnybody using philips xtremevision plus bulb in the cbr?I want to know if it's a direct fit or not, since the wattage is same as stock I'm thinking of switching mine from stock, although the stock one is pretty decent and does the job flawlessly but I want more..Please throw some light..[emoji16]
Cheers!

its a standard H4 socket... any H4 will fit and work 55/60 watts is the OEM setup.Originally posted by Moshca View PostAnybody using philips xtremevision plus bulb in the cbr?I want to know if it's a direct fit or not, since the wattage is same as stock I'm thinking of switching mine from stock, although the stock one is pretty decent and does the job flawlessly but I want more..Please throw some light..[emoji16]"A good long ride can clear your mind, restore your faith, and use up a lot of fuel."

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Both are very different bikes and based on your needs you should pick up the bike.Originally posted by leech View PostAdd the pulsar 220 rear brake pads. Btw, I thought you sold the CBR since you bought the versys. How has the rides been on the versys? Would you still pick it over the CBR 650F?
CBR if you know that you will always stay on the a paved road with no or very less potholes and Versys if you want to ride everywhere.
Maintenance cost of both is not much different but yes, Honda has better maintenance cost. (read that lower)
----consecutive posts auto-merged-----
Update on the previous list. Inputs from all of you has been captured here.
1) Yamaha Oil filter
2) Pulsar 220 F Steel braided lines for the front disc (non abs model only)
3) P220 rear disc brakes. (is it for ABS or Non ABS?)
4) CBR 150 brake pads (non abs)
5) NS 200 Steel braided lines
6) EBC brake pads for fully Stintered and better braking.
Any more updates, let me know and I can keep on adding it to the thread.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Thx a lot again. Bought Michelin Pilot Street Radial tires for both front n rear.Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Post22k on conti's..... dude you are one brave human...... those things should not be on any motorcycle.
CHANGE TYRES ASAP......
you have below options.
Michelin Pilot street ( front + back ) about 10k -- best bet
Michelin pilot sport ( front + back) about 6-7k . hard compound and dont buy
MRF - Massater ( front FC1 and rear massater ) - 6k ish. good combo
It seems the rear contigo tyre was in pretty bad situation. The air pressure became pretty low even in a day. Checked thrice for puncture but nothing was found. But tyre's physical condition wasn't that bad.
Now just eager to see performance of Michelin.

Riding after a long break, short dash to Pearl valley. Haven't serviced the bike in over 2 years, but still smooth as F.
Got a chance to capture some actioncam footage.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Some good news and bad news for CBR250R Bangalore owners.
Bad news : Karthik from Tansi Honda have left Whitefield Tansi Honda showroom. He has moved out.
Good news: He is now working in 'Highlander Ventures LLC', A multi-brand motorcycle service center , located at Sector 1, HSR Layout. Parts for CBR250R are available off the shelf. They are stocking KTM parts too, and would be doing the same with some super bikes and Yamaha R series as well.
They are stocking Motul oils now along with Honda Throttle FS oil, and will soon stock Shell Ultra FS for CBR owners.
Now its easy for me since I dont have to travel 25 kms to reach the old service center, this one is quite close to my place and reachable in half an hour. I serviced my birdie from this new place yesterday and can assure that all is good. The crowd is less now since its a new place, but still an appointment is recommended before going for a full service.
Checklist for the service .
1. Both brake pads replace. Front EBC Double H rated sintered pads supplied by myself, rear OEM.
2. Replace worn out rubber mounts and re-torque all nuts and bolts (Trying to keep vibes in check here).
3. Shell Ultra FS finally, with oil filter change.
4. Chain Clean and Lube (This guy uses only Motul chain clean and lube and charges a reasonable 250 bucks for the same. He literally sits and cleans each link
)
5. Adjust cone-set .
6. Clean Air filter/Replace if necessary.
This was it. My bike is more than 5 years old, running on new coolant, fluids etc. So basically I did not have any other major issue with the machine. Happy soul munching around 55km/day in hectic Bangalore traffic, where most of the roads are now non-existent. The service was excellent as usual, and a full service cost Rs.600 + Rs.250 for chain clean and lube, and the rest based on what is changed. Labor rates are same as Honda, no changes here.
After the service, I couldn't honestly feel much difference in smoothness with the Shell FS oil, but it should last more than the Honda Throttle with its properties surviving a longer interval. Today I noticed some gear slips as well, will give it some time to bed in, same with rear brake pads too. EBC front pads are a different story. It immediately bed in and have immaculate bite. Excellent.Ride, ride and ride.. But always do it responsibly..

This SVC again may not be a good news for new owners or owners in warranty period as this is not a Honda ASC.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am not sure about that. I am not sure if EBC makes pads for non abs for Indian model because non-abs model abroad uses a smaller 2 piston nissin caliper at front, and Indian version uses bybre, hence it may not match. But the ABS pads are universally same. You need to dig deep to find it out about Non-ABS.Originally posted by Pavithranmt View PostHow much it will cost for this ebc pads for non abs models?Ride, ride and ride.. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Try using motul 7100 10W40 for the next oil change. I found it to be smoother for my riding preference over the shell ultra FS. Smoother engine running with much smoother gear shifts.Originally posted by Ivin View PostSome Bad news and good news for CBR250R Bangalore owners.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I bought SMK Glide helmet n XDI X1 jacket. Also bought Leopard tank bag.
Just came to know abt modular helmet n then decided to buy it. I do travel photography n I would say photography is the reason why I love travelling. So using normal full face helmet was always a problem for me as I also wear specs. So when I see some good scenery, first I have to remove my specs n then helmet then capturing the photo. Now it's lot easier with modular helmet. Just open then flap n capture the photo n move on.
I bought n wore the riding jacket(XDI X1) for the first time. & I did my most comfortable 400+ km ride on a bike. Used with rain liner n didn't feel any kind of rain. Yes it made me sweaty but it's lot better than getting drenched. Going on 90-100 n almost no feel of wind hit.
Never thought tank bag would b so helpful. No burden on shoulder n hassle free ride. All of my Camera Kit (DSLR + 3 lenses + accessories+clothes) easily fitted in the bag. Only complain is that wish this Leopard bag had compartment like DSLR bag has. So I wrapped dslr n lenses in clothes. Having a CBR 250r made this magnetic bag so much easy to put on & remove.
Although this was my only ride after getting these riding gears. Hoping some amazing hassle free rides in future.
Adding some pics of last bike ride
