10w40 is no different from w30 so you can close your eyes and take it. Relax. Your bike is safe with 10w40

Go for it. You will be amazed with the smoothness when opening the throttle for acceleration and gear change smoothness.

And also I will take this opportunity to clear some doubts that I have.
I just came back from a trip with very very bad roads and towards the end the handle was pulling towards the left .On slow speeds or sudden braking the front end seemed very unstable and unpredictable. I took it to a local mechanic and he told the the cone set has issues and needs to be changed for temporary measures he loosened it by 2 mm or so.Next day I took it to the svc and they checked the cone set and told it is all fine. Now the problem is the handle does not pull to any side, but on broken roads or emergency braking feels very unstable and unpredictable, also the front feels as if it will slip on slight provocation .
Any suggestions!! And is it possible that the tyres have been deformed and the side walls have been damaged or become uneven.
        Check the racer set too.

To all who don't know this yet---- when you replace your oil filter, never use the old oil filter gasket. Just get a new one. For CBR 250, it is mere 15 bucks.

Recently I did my general servicing for my CBR 250r ABS and found out my front brake pads had no life left. And knowing the price for the front brake pads I asked my mechanic in ASC for a cheaper alternative and he suggested me to get the hornet combi brake's front brake pads. They are a direct fit. And they cost roughly 900 bucks when compared to 2100 for the CBR 250R.
            Hope this is useful.

My grandfather was Ill and was admitted for 25 days and I was staying there with him until recently, on 5th of this month, he left us for his heavenly journey. Will do some rides on a sooner times and share some stories. Until then the bike has been serviced and working great. Thanks for asking Buddy.

Hi. I got mine serviced at Vinayak Honda, G.s Road, Guwahati. The mechanic who does my servicing goes by the name Biplab. Just don't take my name as he has asked me to keep this a little secret of his about the cheaper priced brake pads.

Coming to the oil talks, I been using the 300v 10w40, bike feels much smoother in the top and and in the high speeds n gears than city riding, also a decent amount of heat but I dunno if its radiator coolant shortage or oil cause the last time I used this oil got 5500 kms it was still good and had 1.4 ltrs exactly and no problems in my engine as such, I ride in a very mixed manner, not too hard but not too soft but usually in the mid range, going to try shell fs and see the difference, there is a slight difference in shell and power and speed petrol too, shell is the best petrol I feel for the bike

Shell petrol is not available at my hometown but I do use the next best thing, Speed. Using speed has shown me how smoother the bike rides and it also lasts longer than the normal petrol.

I have the seen the engine in person of my friend's , (Shivang) CBR when he came to SVC. I was amazed. Planning to do the same for my next oil change.
Can rimula r4 be used forever? Any restrictions? It's been close to 300 kms with r4 now and the engine seems to take the beating. Guess the r 4 is doing a great job.

You don't need to use r4 forever in a constant oil change. Use that for 2-3 oil changes and then back to FS oil. Keep switching. R4 is a cleaning agent and also a diesel oil. So use it like a medicine and not like your drink

Detailing issues- scratches on body panels.
Friends, this is regarding a lot of scratches on the body panels of my black n silver CBR.
The previous owner has unknowingly used something like scotch brite- OUCH! ...for cleaning the bike and now it's got a thousand fine scratches all over. It hurts to see that.
I used motomax rubbing compound and it smoothened out a bit. But, there is a hazy formation in the an area where I used the compound.in other areas, the scratches r not fully gone. I want the original glossy scratchless look. I also bought a clear paint aerosol can hoping it would fill in the scratches and further buffing would gloss it.
Some r suggesting ceramic is also in mind.
                                Kindly help me out guys...
