It can be a cut/cracked or a loose fuel line hose connecting the throttle body from the fuel pump. Eitherways, it's a issue that must be addressed immediately. Fuel spillage can cause fire hazard. Also, make sure it isn't something to do with the injector itself, as faulty injector O ring too can cause fuel spillage, though extremely rare thought. But, start off with the fuel lines.. Keep your observations posted.

    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

          Hi guys,
I have 2017 model cbr250. I am facing some vibration in the left side handle bar of my bike, the right one is fine. The vibrations are occurred between 4-5 k rpm. I changed the entire handle bar , but the problem still exist.

PS : i am using apache rtr 200's clip handle bars. Not the stock one.

Which bar end weights are you using. If you feel the left side of the clip on is buzzy. Try to use a the OE bar end weight. The CBR has the long threaded type bar end weight, meaning you have a big tube inside the handlebar through which the bar end gets threaded in. Uneven weight distribution on the clip on means, you have more vibrations concentrated at a particular RPM on your bars. Also make sure your clip on allen keys are torqued properly.

Not ballsy at all. Ari is a guy who himself is a two wheeler racer cum mechanic, and he has a penchant for the CBR 250s, the Duke 390 and the R3. You can see himself talk about the reliability of the CBR since he's done a lot of mods, track days and big bore on the CBR and hence it should be easy thinking why he chose the CBR 250R. It's an excellent and reliable machine and he loves the ergo the CBR has to offer, if you see his videos you'll know. A few "right" mods and bang on, the CBR will be easily able to match a 300 cc plus category in performance. There is a reason why the CBR 250R is loved so much abroad.

But coming to the practicality part, people do Bun Burner, Saddlesores in motorcycles unimaginable, it's just pure will power, the trust on which bike a rider can push both himself and the machine to accomplish this and the economical aspects of it, i.e. fuel mileage, etc.

              Cheers!

                Hi Guys,
Been a while since i posted here or anywhere in Xbhp for that matter.
I thought i'd just update about the bike.
Recently just completed 50,000kms on the bike. Took only ~ 6 years (), last 3 years the bike has barely run much.
Bike still runs like a dream (touchwood). No major parts replaced. Changed the tyres to Pirelli recently, i think that was last when i posted here.
Surprisingly the chain is still holding pretty well, changed it last at 16k or 18k , i can't remember properly.

I am thinking of refreshing the panels on the bike, still not sure if i want to do it. The tank has a few scratches over time from tank bags, improper washing and just plain lasck of TLC, i live in an apartment access to water for proper cleaning is not an option and the shops charge so much for a proper foam wash that i can't be bothered.

The batt black plastic parts seem to have lost colour and has a whiteish blemish to it. And fairing have a bit of markings here and there from over time wear and all.

Engine still smooth as butter, using Shell for quite some time now. Karthick still handles repair work on my bike, Bangalore folks will know who I am talking about, the bike hasn't seem a Honda SVC in 3 years i think.

Only complaint is that over 6 years I have gotten used to the power so much that I really find it tough to go on a tour with the bike, blame it on the Duke 390 and the R3 i had in between. But then again the Duke and R3 moved out of the garage and the Baby blade stayed, that does say a lot about the bike.

I do what to add something with more power and exciting nature to the garage, but in time. Rest assured the CBR will hold its place come what may.

                Cheers

The pay to view format of Motortrend is definitely not what we would have wanted. But the channel they left still has decent content to be honest.

Absolutely. Lovely videos to say the least, practical, hands on and simple. Unfortunately, he had to move on, and now that channel and content has been left to garbage.

You know, you are like this Kurinji flower right, blooms after every 12 years, and then poof, into the oblivion. Next, I guess, you'll be back after hitting the 1L and boy wouldn't I like to hear from you after a long time. Hope you're doing great mate. Yup, the panels shouldn't cost that much, but your Tri Color should be a struggle to get if I am not mistaken. Rest of the black panels, you should be able to source them. Nonetheless, a little TLC and some polishing and lubing, she should be back to her former glory.

Haha..Nice analogy. I am doing great mate, pretty sure we would meet up soon enough, it's just a matter of time. Need to have a throwback to the years i used to be super active on the forums. That was some good times.
Hopefully it doesn't take another 6 years to hit 1L , but at the current rate pretty sure it would.
As far as i had asked shouldn't be tough to get the fairings and tank and all right now, luckily the fender and the rear parts are all the red that was the same as the famous/in-famous ketchup red from the 2013-15 era paint scheme.
And Honda does sell the stickers separate , so a pearl white paint and then getting the stickers aligned and stuck would be the worst case scenario.
I am playing around with the idea of replicating the SP edition design that the 1000RR had, so that would mean the panel above the headlight would require new stickers, vinyl on the tank and gold dusted alloys. It's super tempting but let's see.
But then again , I am not that concerned about the looks honestly, panels can have a few scratches and discolouration , I take it as a sign on being used. Final Decision totally depends on the final budget it would take to get it to where i want it.

                        Cheers

I need some advice on what could be the problem here.
                          I have a 2017 Abs model approx 31k odo.
Continuing from last post where bike was showing starting problem, and it was identified as a stator coil issue.
Also oil was coming out of the head which was fixed by changing the packaging.

Post Delivery and change of Coil.
                          Observations :
                          1. While leaving the ASC the bike was feeling so relaxed, more punchy.
                          2. The throttle response was so crisp and sweet at the same time that i can't explain. Even earlier i thought of selling cbr and buying a ninja 300r, but with this smooth accelaration and throttle response it felt like, i am riding in heavens. I mean the bike never felt like this even when it was new.
I do not know what was the reason behind it.
                          3. Before taking delivery, I got a chance to test ride one more cbr repsol edition of a xbhp member(not sure who it was) who has given the bike for service at the same ASC. My impressions were that, why My bike was so vibey and with a heavy throttle.. I Wanted mine to perform like this one. So I think by default the CBR is very relaxed with little to no vibrations. Mine is a different case.
                          4. There were no vibrations, i need to check my speedo to find that sometime I am goign over 8k rpm

                          Things changed post delivery:
                          1. Switched the tyres back to old Metzeler m5 150/60 since I was not getting the confidence in Ralco speedblaster.
Post tyre change there were some vibrations introduced though the throttle was still crisp.
                          2. Changed back to Ralco as the previous set felt bad. With MRF FX1 100/80 front and Metzler 150/60 rear it felt bad. May be because the front is not standard or radial 110/70
                          3. Even going back to the Ralco the vibrations didn't subdued, and for some reason it felt the alignment is not correct as the bike was turning to the left easily.
                          4. With help of paddock and thread method tried doing doing alingment but i think I failed. Put in everything back with both side adjustment screws at same location, I felt thats safe.
                          5. Post this the rear tyre whenever I move there is a khat-khat-khat sound.
                          6. Vibrations increased and everything went to normal. Throttle response again went to hard or not crisp.

I am really desperate to get the throttle response back and vibrations to be reduced.
Not sure where and how to get this sorted.
                          I stay in Gurgaon.
                          Hi,

I do not have much technical knowledge on this, but for point 4 and 5 it seems that the chain is not properly adjusted/cleaned/lubed. I have observed this khat-khat-khat sound when i move the rear wheel when ever the chain is very dirty and i had uneven wear in the chain at that time.

For vibration with related to tyre changes, i suggest you to check for a tyre shop where they do wheel balancing for two wheeler tyres. I had the issue of bike pulling slightly to one side with both the hands off the bar(just for checking this alone and done on relatively free road ) and handlebar wobble at certain speed. I did wheel balancing and this got corrected successfully.

The fuel pipe was loose , just a minor fix, costed around 1k. Also changed my right side switchgear which supposedly costs 3500-4500rs acc to the mechanic but apparently the part number changed and it costs now 700rs , the mech was like it's your lucky day they have changed the part number and reduced the price , probably due to localisation of the same . Bike is currently at 55k km with a full HRC endurance system , and a k&n HA-2511 air filter. Running fine , should get a Aracer mini 5 ecu by a month or month and a half . I am also planning to change my bottom T stem , due to a bend from ages ago and also making a top aluminium toplate in that hard aluminium . Setting up my coneset which is a tapper rolled bearing one and changing the bottom rollers as well . Also have finally got the correct ebc brake pads where previously got the wrong part number which was abs version pads since mine already is non abs. Front brakes have HEL brake pads which I can say saved me on more than a few occasions. With the better pads ,I'm sure it should be even better, while sorting my handling will put the pads, the new top aluminium t stem , n tapper rolled bearing coneset and update . Also note the bike has a db killer which is perfect and is not obnoxiously loud, will remove for track use Click image for larger version

Bike is currently at 55k km with a full HRC endurance system , and a k&n HA-2511 air filter. Running fine , should get a Aracer mini 5 ecu by a month or month and a half . I am also planning to change my bottom T stem , due to a bend from ages ago and also making a top aluminium toplate in
Okay, so just as I predicted. Hope, the pipes are properly crimped with the tension bands so that they don't get loose again. Do keep us posted on your T stem and Aracer Mini 5 ECU update.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'

                              THE END

Not sure if my bike's battery is dead or something else. As I turn on the engine kill switch, everything including odometer goes blank. But as I turn off the engine kill switch, odometer starts n even sidelights works perfectly.
What can be the reason ? Is this indicate my battery dead ?
                                Odo shows 33,500 kms.
Edit : I've given the battery to charge.
