Though the newer ones do a good job when it comes to heat insulation, it still can and will leak given the wrong circumstances. If your bike is running cool, that's good, that is unless you see any increase in the temp gauge readings. If all is well, don't bother altering or re-doing anything unnecessary.

And do keep this thread posted with the ARACER upgrade, if and when you have the time.

Definitely VJ , waiting to bring it down by next month . I'm just putting the bike through its paces. As I said I've made the decision for putting the reliability thro the paces , but my oil change intervals have shortened for preventive measures.i have noticed the radiator fan doesn't kick in as much, not sure if it's the weather or the engine ice or the exhaust. Will keep you updated as time goes on. I'm really looking forward to getting the ecu on because it says in stock form itself to expect a 15% bump in power . And with this I feel mid range and top end have considerably improved .Top end I'd put it down to the air filter as well which aids it .

Guys did earth wire mode yesterday. There is huge difference in low end and mid range . Bike gaining speeds so much better than before.. throttle respons also became sharp. Over takings become so effortless now. I can accelerate as low as from 2k rpm in 3rd gear, i will strongly recommend this modification for every cbr owners.

Lovely. Yes, it's become a fundamental aspect or the CBR to get this mod job done, costs a few 100 bucks and saves a lot of headache. psr sir.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
        The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

        THE END

At the time of finding out this mod , I had also found even other manufacturers had gone through similar problems including the Yamaha R1 Honda Vt1800 etc. I had clearly explained that even with our own Karisma this mod produced more Low end and mid , performance increase....

Happy more and more people are doing the mod and getting the benefit of the finding...Special Thanks should go to Shivang for his good write up on this..

            Hi guys,

I recently purchased a preowned CBR 250R. I filled petrol this morning and the meter read 13.8 L. Is this possible? The tank capacity is 13L and the tank already had some fuel (around 0.5 L) left in it. The bunk even gave a receipt for it.

Fuel tank won't be exactly 13 liters, a few hundred ML will be more or less when one fills the tank. 10.5 is the primary and then the last bar reads approx 2.5 liters and when the fuel level goes down even more than that, the fuel bar blinks, which is red zone. So, yes it is a possibility that a fuel tank can gobble a few more than stated liters.

              Cheers!

                  Hello CBR gurus,
I am due on my 3rd servicing and had a few queries. (Bike is 2017 March Model run 11500KM)

1: There is weird kind of a knocking noise coming from the engine area near the radiator when ever I try to accelerate hard. The problem is not there in lower gears or lower rpms' , it comes out only after the 4th gear and 4000rpm . Initially I thought it is the infamous shims issue, but I saw some videos on you tube and the noise is completely different that I am facing . Also the noise is not there when I rev the bike to any rpm in neutral or leave it in idle, and it is more prominent if there is a pillion on (under more payload) . Any pointers on this would be great .

2: I am planning to replace my fork oil with motul 20W grade fork oil. And have found mixed suggestions on different forums. Some say we should stick to the 331ml per fork , some say we should put in 350ml per fork and some say putting 350ml of 20W grade oil might put pressure on the seals and they might go burst on sudden speed breaker encounters. What should be the proper quantity per fork ? Also any pointers on sourcing the same from any vendors in Bangalore? I don't want to order on amazon since the reviews say broken seal and duplicate things are received.

3: I am also facing issue with the cone set and it gets loose every 3k kms or so and requires tightening and adjustment . Was wondering if it is common issue or am I plain unlucky? (I ride in a quite safe and sane manner)

4: Also this question is a trivial one , but I was planning on changing my tires to Pirelli Diablo Roso2 (or Sport Demons depending on availability) and I still have around 8-10k left on my stock MRF's . Main reason I wanted to change tires was the wobbly handling and the soft front end , was hopping that the change in tire would change that . But will the fork oil change suffice and decrease the wobbliness??

Any other general pointers would be appreciated.
                  Thanks..

I have the same prob which u have mentioned in the thread. The sound is more prominent when climbing uphills. even this sound appears more vigorously when pillion on-board.

Have you found any solution for this?

I really worried about this issue. It spoils my rides. Pls help!!!

Read post number #89 on this thread.

It's an earth wire mod, which basically helps the circuit complete well and hence helps the bike become more sprightly.

This mod/solution was found by psr sir, and his guidance in insurmountable when it comes to this thread. Read them, you might learn a thing or two, as we did too.
