Hey guys, is there anyone from Hyderabad? I have to replace the fork seals and cone set on my CBR250R. Since I am new to Hyderabad, I am not sure which service center is good. Any suggestions on which service center to choose?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I bought a used CBR 250R lf 2012 ABS and it beats the new CBR 250R bs4 version in pickup my bike isn't even serviced in 1 year there is a noticeable difference in engine performanceOriginally posted by Pavithranmt View PostI previously owned a 2011 model cbr. I sold that nd now purchased 2017 model repsol edition abs model cbr. But i felt that there is a noticeable difference in the pick of both the bikes. Pick in new one is tad slow . I want to give more throttle to gain the momentum than the old one. Is that an issue or is this usual? Bike is in pristine condition. Is there any chance that the throttle play can be the culprit?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Can you explain this procedure in detail?Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostIf not chainslider, it's spark pinging or knocking under load when engine is hot due to excessive carbon deposits. Get Yamalube PEA carbon cleaner from any YASS. Pour one can in 3-4 liters of petrol and run at highway speed. Better get 2 cans and pour directly into tank with a little more than half filled. You will notice the knocking disappears in 50-100 km of riding.
My bike sounds perfect when i start in morning but it makes weird noises when its hot ike ratling noices when i drive it for long and specially in traffic the rattling sounds are less not much but irritating

Re: Honda CBR 250R
The horns in new cbrs is much better. It sound kind of similer to the 220's horn. You can get that fitted from your service centerOriginally posted by jatints View PostThe stock horns on the CBR are Similar to Splendor, can someone suggest me good horns for CBR that reauire less power and are direct fits, i love the pulsar 220 horn can i fit it in cbr without changing the wiring?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Mine is also bs3 version. But yours is being an 2012 model it has the thai made engine. That is much more better than post 2013 models in terms of acceleration and top speed. And the ecu is also differentOriginally posted by jatints View PostI bought a used CBR 250R lf 2012 ABS and it beats the new CBR 250R bs4 version in pickup my bike isn't even serviced in 1 year there is a noticeable difference in engine performance

Engine Oil Burning
Hello Team,
For the past few instances, the engine oil is going below the Low level within 1000-1500 KM. It used to be around 3000 before, then reduced to 2000 and now to 1500-1000. I keep topping up.
The bike is done 76000 KM and there is no drop in mileage. I get around 40 in highways where it spends 95% of the time. There is no leakage or noticeable white/blue smoke. Not sure if this is because of the piston rings. Help please..
Thanks,
A Amarnath

Re: Honda CBR 250R
stock oil is 5w - 331ml of which now i have shifted to 20w Motul and 350 ml each forks and works well.Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostI am using Motul 20w Fork Oil. When compared to the stock 10w, front end is much, much better and the dive is very much controlled and adequately stiff, and if I am not wrong, Aman, @theironhorse99 uses it too if I remember correctly.
Cheers!

Isn't the one we use is 10w? I think the firangi ones use 5w, no?Originally posted by theironhorse99 View Poststock oil is 5w - 331ml of which now i have shifted to 20w Motul and 350 ml each forks and works well.
Yes, 331 ML +- 10 ML and I've in fact used 350 ML of the same 20w Motul 350 ML per can, and worked like a charm, indeed.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

My friend's bs4 model feels kind of underpowered at 3-5k rpm compared to mine but his bike gives 30~ mileage anfd mine gives 23~ for almost same route.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I am using P70 from Minda. Mine is 2012 and had only one horn - replaced with a pair of P70. They are small but effective. They come with a useful plug and play type wiring.Originally posted by jatints View PostThe stock horns on the CBR are Similar to Splendor, can someone suggest me good horns for CBR that reauire less power and are direct fits, i love the pulsar 220 horn can i fit it in cbr without changing the wiring?
