    Hi all,

I feel more vibrations in foot peg, Handlebar and lower fuel tank area.... so i planned to change the chain sprocket set (odo reads 29K) ...

Last month take my cbr to Didar egmore, they advised not to change the sprocket set because so much of adjustment is there and set will serve more 10k kms ... and they told no stock for Saprk plug and air filter.....So i fixed some general things (changed the Radiator liquid, Brake oil, Front Disc pad and engine oil)and back to home... but the vibration thing worried me a lot...

Last saturday take my cbr to Abhiram Honda, Chengalpet for servicing, after confirming the stock for Spark plug and air filter. Here also the mechanic told the same story for the chain sprocket. So i purchased one whole chain set... and replaced the Plug and air filter....Anyways he adjusted the chain slack, cleaned and lubed...

While riding to home, i feel more vibrations than before and i feel some friction sound somewhere in front...

I dont know what to do ....Please advice..

I planned somewhere in future to take my bike for servicing to Highlanders, Bengaluru (Mech. Karthik) is there...

Ask the mechanic to tighten engine foundation and mounting bolts as per spec. CBR engine is quite refined, do you face any other issue?

From yesterday I hear the Radiator fan rotating sound sometimes not frequently disturbed like i.e., insert some object while revolving....

Yes, the Mechanic told the same as "On next service I will apply grease and tighten the engine mounting bolts, so that vibrations will reduce to some extent...."

What can be the reason ? Is this indicate my battery dead ?
          Odo shows 33,500 kms.
Edit : I've given the battery to charge.
Yes, your battery is on the verge of giving up or is already slowly dying. Replace your battery. Your battery wala can let you know, if it's worth replacing the battery and whether it's able to hold the charge or not.

The sound that you hear from the front wheel is because you have installed a new front brake pad. Give some time for the front brake pads to get bed in. If you feel the sound is more, you can remove the front pads, and glaze the pads using a mild emery paper. Regarding vibrations, the grade of oil you use too can mean vibes. Too thick a grade too will induce vibrations. Secondly, it's advisable to check your quarter panel and engine mount bolts. If you haven't done the earth wire mod, I'd recommend you to do it.

          Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
          The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The coneset is manufactured by SKF and replacement of the entire coneset, upper, lower races and bearings will cost 2.5k approx IIRC. You can get it from outside, if you are able to source it cheap, but I'd prefer stick with OE parts for coneset.

Unless, we see the component, no one knows it's original or fake, and trust me I am no expert.

The CBR has the long threaded type bar end weight, meaning you have a big tube inside the handlebar through which the bar end gets threaded in. Uneven weight distribution on the clip on means, you have more vibrations concentrated at a particular RPM on your bars. Also make sure your clip on allen keys are torqued properly.

Not ballsy at all. Ari is a guy who himself is a two wheeler racer cum mechanic, and he has a penchant for the CBR 250s, the Duke 390 and the R3. You can see himself talk about the reliability of the CBR since he's done a lot of mods, track days and big bore on the CBR and hence it should be easy thinking why he chose the CBR 250R. It's an excellent and reliable machine and he loves the ergo the CBR has to offer, if you see his videos you'll know. A few "right" mods and bang on, the CBR will be easily able to match a 300 cc plus category in performance. There is a reason why the CBR 250R is loved so much abroad.

But coming to the practicality part, people do Bun Burner, Saddlesores in motorcycles unimaginable, it's just pure will power, the trust on which bike a rider can push both himself and the machine to accomplish this and the economical aspects of it, i.e. fuel mileage, etc.

                          Cheers!

I installed oem bar end weights on the left side handle bar. The vibrations reduced a bit. But its still exist between 4.5 - 5 k rpms. Now i am using oem bar end weights on the left and apache's bar end weight one the right. I changed the sprocket and engine oil recently.

Use OEM bar ends for both the sides, it does make a difference. Using OEM weight on the one end and a different weight on the other side, would not make for a smooth balancing. In fact, some frequency vibes can get amplified, if the weights aren't balanced. So, make sure the right OEM weights are used and installed correctly.

The stock battery of the CBR 250R is 12v6Ah, EXIDE. You can swap to 12v7Ah APBTZ7L which is a direct for the CBR's the battery box. Higher the amps the better. Go for AMARON.
