Hi, I am thinking of replacing the fork oil on the bike. Motul 20W fork oil (or similar) vs Honda's fork oil - what is the difference and how does it affect suspension, braking, ride quality?
The stock one comes at a 10w rating, which makes the front end dive, being soft. The 20w helps to stiffen the forks the right amount, so that it helps reducing the fork dive and in turn gives good cornering ability and stability. I've used 20w and am pretty much happy with it.
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

I too have changed fork oil and seal last year, I put Gulf fork oil which cost me ~85rs per 180ml bottle, as bottle does not mention any grade details it was kind of experiment. I put ~10ml more than specified value, results where great (nor too soft like stock oil not too stiff).
It stuck me hard as seen the condition old oil became. I will suggest riders to consider to change the fork oil and seal every 20k km.

wow, this thread is silent over a week now. used to be 20+ posts a day. what's up folks. how's the CBR doing ?
Most of the doubts had been either cleared here or in Mr. Shivang aka Shv18 thread. So I guess it has become more or less dormant...Hope more interaction will take place once people come out the Covid restrictions and start to ride more.

Well, its nice to see you still have the CBR 250, iron horse. I hope blackthorn still has his. For me, CBR is still the main transport. It shares the garage with a Safari TCIC, which i got in 2020.
I've used the CBR to charge my phone during floods, charge my inverter battery ( for a little while, try at own risk), and buy stuff for old people who cant venture out due to covid risks.
I've switched to masseter at rear, front is mrf rev z c1 radial i think.
I lost interest in long trips due to heavy traffic in kerala. Can't enjoy the bike. Shims and clutch are stock at 70k kms odo.
Hey siva23 BS4 madel comes with new graphics and LED headlights and also to be fair it's always good to go with recent years bike than older one( as age is the factor for most rubber parts and metal rust is another issue comes with it). I will suggest to go for 2019 model (try to negotiate further as Honda discontinued the model due to which part availability going to be an issue).
Also I will suggest you to search for ABS model for better braking efficiency.
Thanks bro.....I will try to negotiate , theres ABS 2018 model for 1.5 lakhs after bargain.
is the ABS /Nissin brake changes the whole level of performance ?
I haven't ridden non ABS model till now as mine has ABS. But Nissin brake has way more reputation than Bybe (which is Indian subsidiary of Brembo brakes). Also, having ABS is always good have for Indian roads.
And 1.5L is sky rocking price for 2018 model.

It's always better to opt for ABS if there is an option. How much on the odo and what's your state?
At what km should we change the spark plug of our cbr..?and also heard that the stock spark plug is iridium.....
Yes, stock plug is iridium. Change interval is 48k as per manual. Some guys have used it beyond 50k though. If the spark plug isnt fit properly, it vibrates audibly at certain rpms, and eventually break into pieces inside the engine. Happened to me.
