Can u share ur wtsp nmbr ...bcz i want to discuss about tapered roller bearingOriginally posted by harshil3604 View Post
Taperroller bearing has bigger contact area compared to ball bearing so it could bear higher tension compared to ball bearing and it lasts longer. The stock ball bearing(Honda) costs more than taperroller bearing so why not use better type of bearing.

You can consider Exide, but I would strongly recommend Amaron. APBTZ7L, perfect fit for CBR and offers great life.Originally posted by Rethin View PostGuys can anyone suggest me a good battery for cbr 250...? Bcz my idling is not good and also the battery is more than 4 years now...

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

That's about the right time to change the rotors, for a good life. Rotors like brake pads wear out depending on the way they are used, conditions they're subject to and basically normal wear and tear. I've personally seen rotor wear out as less as 25k KMS and some rotors upwards of 40k. If you see swirl marks coupled with circular steps on both the rotors, it's time to replace the rotors.Originally posted by pinkesh2703 View PostWhat is the average life of Front/Rear disc break rotor of Cbr 250r ?
My bike has run 60,000 kms n I have been suggested to change both disc break rotors.

After years of wanting to buy the 250R, I have gotten my hands on a 2011 model in Red Colour. It was sparingly used by the previous owner mostly due to lack of interest and him being an older gentleman who prefers the riding position on his Enfield. It has clocked less than 14,000 km. in the past 10 years. But it is definitely not up to the mark with some body panels being broken and needing replacement (previous owner claims the bike slipped on the side stand in the garage). I want to get it properly serviced and get everything checked including the Valve clearance and timing. Can anyone recommend a trusted mechanic/ASC for the CBR in Delhi/Ghaziabad?

I noticed that the bike was leaking engine oil from the drain bolt and believed it must be a faulty washer/gasket. Decided to change the oil along with the filter due to low oil level and leakage. The Drain Bolt on my bike is 14mm and as per my knowledge, it should be 12mm. Can anyone confirm the size of the stock bolt as I suspect a local mechanic might have switched it during the last oil change causing the leak?

CBR250R's indeed is a 12 mm bolt with a steel washer that goes along with the bolt. If you have leak, changes are it can be due to prior owner torquing the bolt too much, stripping the threads, and the rethread has been done to 14 mm. Use a bigger washer that fits the circumference of the 14 mm bolt and see if it arrests the leak. Also, do look for any cracks or M-Sealing around the drain bolt casing periphery. Usually a stripped thread is pre-cursor to a cracked crank case periphery. Observe closely and see if the above trick arrests the leak. You can also use Teflon tape around the threads for extra safety if it still leaks.Originally posted by indianpeddler View PostI noticed that the bike was leaking engine oil from the drain bolt and believed it must be a faulty washer/gasket. Hey indianpeddler B7ACKTHORN it is 14mm bolt. For leak just need new washer and right torque to bolt. I have used same old washer for one service after few km started to shown sign of leak but was few drops when I park the vehicle overnight, every time I see oil level low i top up it. That's when I learn why I is called crushed washer and why it is required to change it at every oil change.

Can you please post a picture of your 14 mm drain bolt. My drain bolt and all the CBRs I have seen do come with 12 mm drain bolt. I am surprised to see yours come with 14 mm drain bolt, can you please share the image of the drain bolt along with a 14 mm wrench on it, please.Originally posted by Vishal Wagh View PostHey indianpeddler B7ACKTHORN it is 14mm bolt. There is no other sign of damage on the engine case and around the drain bolt, no M-seal, etc. For now, I have changed the oil as it was scarily low (about 750ml came out) without changing the washer but the leak has slowed down with the new oil and properly tightened bolt (The bike will be going for proper service in a few days).Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View Post

Took the bike to a service center to get it checked, the tech rode it and said the engine is in good condition, and apart from the broken panels needing to be changed, it should not be a bad purchase mechanically. The bike is slightly louder than it should be and the service guy said it needs a good service and might also be a shim issue.
I have noticed that the exhaust also has a slight fuel/other smell but no smoke issue.
What things should I get done with the service?
