thanks buddy, its running fine except two things,
1- it reaches 143-144 kph in 5th gear but doesn't cross 141-142 kph in 6th gear, no idea what to do and days left are very few.........
when contacted Honda they said that Honda's registered top speed as per arai is 140 kph, bull shit.....this Monday means tomorrow going for the clutch plate and chain part, i hope everything will be fine
    any idea bro ?

and yes headlight part, its not that sufficient on our highways, special when its raining, i am also not getting what to do

For head light upgrade simplest thing is to change to OSRAM NIGHT BREAKER, it is worth it.
If you want better than that then only option is to change over to projector lamps I suppose.

You just have to change the bulb, nothing else.
          That simple.
Before you do this just click photograph of your high beam and low beam at night,
And again do the same after bulb change at the same place and same camera settings,
U will come to know the difference, it is pretty glaring.

Approx cost should be about 500 bucks I suppose, I had bought 2 bulbs for 900 about a year back.

          Happy Riding.

          • Hi All,

Today i became the proud owner of CBR 250 ABS, i bought a preowned from Delhi, red color 8500 on odo. I bought it preowned because i was tight on budget and my heart was fallen for CBR after testing few bikes from different showrooms.
It really a bliss to ride CBR. Today when i was riding the bike went in 3 digit in no time while riding then i realised that i am going too fast then i slowed it down..

I noticed today that my hand was sweating like anything while driving, can you please how can i deal with it.?
I am also planning to buy to good helmet and riding jacket (cramster all whether breezer jacket)..

                    • Toady by God Mercy, Just a 1.5km away from my home, I found my chain slider lower portion hanging from the swing arm just below the attached pic (Pic 1 upper portion & Pic 2 lower portion), from then on I drag the bike by myself at my doorstep. Earlier I read in this thread some horrible experience by other member who faced the same issue and his chain slider completely broke from the upper side.

                      here my question is,

1.If ASC mech come to my house with spare one is it possible to install it without removing the wheel ?

2.If the upper portion come up, the bike is not drivable....right ? I want to ask if they refuse to come to my place is it possible to drive the bike are 15km from my home to ASC ?

                      3. What is the price of CBR chain slider ? Also want to know the price of CBR's clutch cable ? (want to stock it,found it very flimsy)

                      Please help me.

Yes, there is no need to remove the wheel at all for the job

2.If the upper portion come up, the bike is not drivable....right ? I want to ask if they refuse to come to my place is it possible to drive the bike are 15km from my home to ASC ?

It is not that it is not drivable in the true sense of the word; just that, the chain will grind against the upper part of the swingarm. I had to ride 60 kms in this state, at just 25 odd kph so that the hard chain does not eat into the swingarm.

                        3. What is the price of CBR chain slider ? Also want to know the price of CBR's clutch cable ? (want to stock it,found it very flimsy)

I had got one ordered and it is lying at a friend's place as my ASC did a damn good job of re-fitting the original one properly. Cost is Rs 125 from some Honda ASC in Mumbai.

                        Please help me.
                        Dear Neel,

You are bloody lucky that it happened close to your home and not on a highway at speed like what happened to me. I was really, really lucky that the chain did not flip the rear sprocket else I would been all over the highway at over 100 kph. I heard a soft thud and immediately stopped and to my horror, the slider was hanging in almost the identical manner as yours.

First, the answers to your questions in underlines.

If the upper part of the slider is still okay (meaning that both rubber studs, which go into orifices in the swingarm, are still functional), then there is no need to buy a new one. A good CBR mech will cut off the offending rear part (which snagged with the chain and detached the slider from the swingarm), clean the swingarm totally dry of oil/grease, apply some epoxy resin to the mating surfaces, re-attach the slider using the studs, let the glue set and all will be well.

My job was done in the above fashion and it is still perfectly fine.

                        Hope this helps.

You don't have to do anything just change the bulb. It is same wattage as the stock bulb but it is bright.
Just ask for "Osram Night breaker, H4 bulb" that's it and replace the OEM bulb and you are done.
