Re: Honda CBR 250R
It happens randomly when ur bike turns off even when ur holding the clutch, this happened to me when I was in heavy traffic, was really annoying, but for some reason it rectified itself. Its happened like twice to me before, wasn't overly problematic that I had to go to the SVC, but if it didn't go away I would,I'm not really sure why this happens due to the clutch cable or something else . Bike is fine, display is fine, haven't faced this issue for along time, but I have noticed after I park n not use my bike for a few hours the problem went away, happened twice to me.Originally posted by Guru Kumar View Post

Sorry for the delay. I lost access to the account so could check and reply back.. Thank a ton for replying so quickly. Check my online comments.Originally posted by leech View PostAntan shank- the cbr250r is quite cheap to maintain, if you ride sanely, and are willing to put in some physical work to keep the bike healthy.
Lubing chain - Motul is the best, I've heard, but I use sae 90 gear oil every 300 kms. My chain has done 22700 kms and still has 1/4life left in it.
[AB] I thought CBR 250 came with dry chain. My ZMR on stock chain set almost done 50k KMS and I use HP 90 gear oil.
Engine oil : Honda oil costs 1500, lasts for 6k. I use castrol 15w 40 Semi Synth, cost 800 for 2l no problems, except loss of some smoothness.
[AB] okay. Currently I use Veedol Super Swift 10w40 semi-synth for ZMR
Petrol: Higher octane makes the engine smoother, but affects mileage on one test I did. Normal petrol is just fine for the cbr250.
[AB] okay..
Brake pads last how you use them. My rear brakes still got bite after 22k kms, front pads changed at 18k.
[AB] Good to know that I live in a place with less traffic or no traffic [emoji3]
My riding style depends on the traffic, once a month I take it to the highway and let her loose, changing gears at redline. I've had no shim or cam chain problems, just a leaky front fork seal which cost below 800.
[AB] My ride to office on highway an regularly hit 80-90 kms/hrs on daily basis, so no need to take it separately to highway.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Your Reply Is Not Clear Enough To Understand The Problem But Never Mind.
Here Are Things You Should Check Or Modify.
1. Check Air Filter. If Your Filter Is Too Dusty This Happens So Better Replace.
2. Do Earth Wire Modification. Pictures Below. This Idea Is Originally Posted By Shiv18.

OK guys my odo is at 20k km and I'll be changing my chain sprocket set, front disk, n back n front brake pads, I've changed the brake pads twice or thrice before, not happy with how long it lasts, u can say that I might be breaking too hard but I mostly engine brake rather than that, Im going to try the p220 rear brake pads n see if rs 200 front brake pads are the same size, also I like to get input on chain sprocket change, brake disc change, oil filter, I'm planning to switch the airfilter to k&n for longer lasting.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Even I had the stalling issue, just once. Bike just stopped after I got it out of service and rode for like 10km. Won't start immediately, but the radiator fan was running. I gave it a couple of minutes and started thumbing a few times and it started.
Very next week I took it for a 300km spin for 2 days and it has not happened again. Maybe it's just water that got in when washing in SVC I'm not sure.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yepp, my ive had my cct changed at 24k kms and that annoying tick tick noise went away with it. But just after about 1k or so kms it came back [emoji29], so i tired that DIY for cct and it worked pretty well for me, at some where around 31k kms mark i heard itcoming again so i just tightened that bolt a couple turns and it seems all good now, bike has done some odd 35k kms and cct sounds good [emoji106]Originally posted by leech View PostZaid77, you had mentioned previously that your bike had the cct changed, but the sound persisted after a couple hundred kms. How is your bike now?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have ran closely to 150 Kms after my last service.
Looks like my fuel efficiency will be reduced slightly
.
The smoothness that am feeling after shifting to Shell Ultra from ~3000K old Shell Rimula, and to a new chain sprocket set is sooooo good, that am revving more under low gear. As my regular commuting is on the high way, I can have more fun in revving it to max 10k in each gear except 5th and 6th
(mind you that I usually go to office very late and traffic will be very minimum so the risk is relatively low at that time, none the less am careful enough to slow down when ever necessary).
The gear shift is now from good to super good, some time I feel that instead of constant mesh CVT is placed and there is no sound/noise when upshifting or downshift at appropriate rpm.
Al in all, I found that me and bike are both feeling younger on the road.
And Just yesterday morning I reached this quarter lac Kms figure.
Brake disc change at 20k Kms?? Are you changing it as a precautionary measure or you are seeing any damage to the disc?Originally posted by Deathwing View PostOK guys my odo is at 20k km and I'll be changing my chain sprocket set, front disk, n back n front brake pads, I've changed the brake pads twice or thrice before, not happy with how long it lasts, u can say that I might be breaking too hard but I mostly engine brake rather than that, Im going to try the p220 rear brake pads n see if rs 200 front brake pads are the same size, also I like to get input on chain sprocket change, brake disc change, oil filter, I'm planning to switch the airfilter to k&n for longer lasting.
Currently am on 3rd Set of Front Brake pads(80% left, changed first set much earlier as I found un even wear) and 3rd set of rear Brake pads(70% left, 2 of which are P220 pads), and no visible signs of disc change.
As for the chain sprocket set, the stock set costs around Rs. 2000 and labour is Rs. 250
For K&N, you can check with Sergeant_DawG as he is using K&N in his CBR.
Finally do confirm us if the rs200 front pads are the same as CBR 250 front pads.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I have also faced this issue a few times and yeah it gets fine by itself.Originally posted by Guru Kumar View PostLeech And Deathwing Could You Exactly Tell Me What Is Happening With Your Bike. No Need To Rev Hard Or Get Frustrated. Does Your Bike Show Any Sign Of Life When The Ignition Key Is On. I Mean Is All The Lights On The Display Going Dim.
Only thing that i noticed is tachometer needle dipping around 1k rpm while clutch depressed.
Engine sounds likr it is going to stall any moment.
A few times it stalled and other times it didn't as i immediately gave some throttle.
But this is very weird thing.
I feel like it is something related to electricals.Burn the rubber, they said
it would be fun, they said
