Re: Honda CBR 250R
The front CBR 150 pads which was a direct fit, and rear is pulsar 220 pads, picked it from a spare shop in ekkaduthangal, will keep u updated on the wear n tear, as of now , there is a obvious improvement in braking. The OEM pads usually dint last too long for me maybe because I brake too hard but I usually engine brake more than anything. These pads costed me a fraction of the OEM pads ,time will only tell if they are usable or not also my bike is a non-abs model. A mechanic fit for me, one of my mechs from my factory took the old brake pads n picked up the 150 pads on size n figment, seems like a perfect fit bothOriginally posted by leech View PostDesthwing- the front pads of 150 and 250 are same? Re: Honda CBR 250R
Small update and difference noticed after the Shims job.
The ride has become pure bliss and so far I have completed around 400kms out of which I was able to fetch a average of 38kmpl (4.5K to 5.5K RPM) under mix condition.
Part credit goes to the rounder profile of the MRFs which has been recently given to my bike.
Since the bike has been brought, I was only able to fetch a maximum average of 34, the number 38 is a huge improvement and I am quite happy with it.
To all the people I have trolled on the mileage perspective, I believe you guys that this baby CBR can indeed cross 40kmpl under very very sedate riding.
Cheers,
Sanjay

That's a real impressive mileage. What's the engine oil you are using?Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostSmall update and difference noticed after the Shims job.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
This is the first time I see a trouble on my cbr in the last 1 year of ownership and that too a weird thing about missing fuel.
I filled petrol till the brim and just rode around 4kms and parked at basement. It was not used for 2 weeks as I was not in town. when I took the bike after two weeks,I noticed that fuel gauge shows only 4 bars(its was full tank when I parked). I thought something went wrong with fuel gauge. I opened the lid and found petrol level is bit lower but not too low.i remember I closed the lid properly after filling. No fuel leak anywhere. I continued riding for 3 days and completed 126kms odo and the fuel guage reached from third to second bar. Then I was suspicious and filled petrol full tank today and found 7.25 litres went inside(7.25 litres for 126 kms).
So I understood nothing wrong with fuel gauge. i checked the fuel lid and I couldn't find anything faulty but there is a slight smell petrol near the lid when its closed. In short, aprox 2.5 litres of petrol missing when the bike was parked at basement
. I will keep an eye on this and confirm if it repeats. Guys do you have any clue on this whether it might happened due to some small misalignment of fuel lid?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
First service done. I had to get it done at 770kms(because of 30 day limit) left the bike at planet honda, rajajinagar at 10:30 in the morning. Got a call from them at 5 in the evening to take the bike. Went there and to my surprise bike was not even washed!
checked whether they have changed the engine oil, paid the amount of 1700(1400 oil+300 oil filter). They were arguing that the bike has been washed! I had a small issue of rhs rvm becoming loose on folding and had told them to rectify but at the end of the day they just tightened it and said all CBRs have this issue:banghead: I doubt they have even lubed the chain.. Guys any suggestions on getting the bike serviced in Bangalore? Planet Honda is crap

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Well Guys Recently I Got 2 Puncture On My Conti Tyres Back As Well As Front. Well Initially As A Short-term Remedy I Used The Glue Thread Type Puncture Kit But My Bike Started To Wobbel At 80km + So I Visited A Local Tyre Puncture Shop. Removed Both The Tyer Front And Back One At A Time And Fixed The Puncture With Patches From Inside The Tyre. Now The Wobble Was Gone Tyre Was Full Of Air And Was Looking Great 👌. Now While I Was Fixing Those Tyre Back On My Bike. I Took My Time To Give It A Through Inspection. I Realized While There Is This Led Weight On The Tyre And Now That My Tyre Has Been Removed Completely And Fitted Again It Must Have Shifted For The Place It Was Before So Now I Nees To Do A Balance Check. I Went To ASC Asked The Guy To Check It He Stated "It Is Only Checked When You Fit In New Tyres" Furious I Left. Cursing Myself First Why Did I Visit Those Poultry Farm Boys. Then I Pushed My Self To Nice PatchOf High Way And Had To Do The Balance Check Riding In All Different Speed Modes And Then Shifting The Led Weight To Some Direction Where Every I Could Find A Spot Where There Was Little Or No Vibs. Seriously That Was A Thought Out Of Frustration. So I Took My Paddock Stand And Tried To Fix It But Still Not Sure Have I Got The Spot Right Or Not.
Well After 3 Days I Found My Tyre Was Loosing Pressure So I Returned To The Same Tyre Shop And He Check Both The Tyres By Immersing It In The Water Tub But Nope There Was Nothing. Again In 3 Days Time Same Pressure Returned To 24psi. Well I Guessed Its Micro Puncture So No Way Any Puncture Shopwala Is Going To Help Here. I Started Searching For Slime Liquid Tyre Sealent. But Ended In Vain No One Had It In My City Madurai. I Visited My Old Friend Who Happens To Be A Manager At Yamaha Requested Him To Order It For Me He Did That In 2 Days Time I Had It I Felt Like A Bliss. Medicine For Micro Puncture.
Now For Past 20 Days I Have Been Checking My Tyre Pressure Its The Same 32psi No Changes At All. But My Question On The Weel Balance Is Left Behind And Now As I Have A Liquid Inside My Tyre I Cannot Opt For A Balance As It Will Never Be Right.
So Guys I Want To Know Is There A Place In Madurai Or Mumbai As This Month End I Plan To Go To Mumbai Any Address Who Does A Manual Or Computerized Check On Balance Will Be Great Coz After I Reach Mumbai I Plan To Change My Conti To Metz.
Regards
Guru Kumar.

I also did the first service and the total bill was Rs.1820
, even I have the same issue with the lhs rvm it's becoming loose when i try to fold it...I asked dem to check the issue..they applied some grease and tightened it..but when I reachd my office and tried to fold the mirror to park my CBR it again became loose...I noticed that the screw is also rotating when I try to fold the rvm and it shouldnt happen..will go again tomorrow to service center and will give you an update..lets see what they come up with...I hope they won't tell me to change the rvm.

Hey Bro,Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostIf you play with the mirrors more, its going to come loose eventually, why unfold and fold, keep it at the same position all the time.
Why go to SVC for mirror tightening ? In the toolkit, there is a 6 number allen key, tighten it yourself.
Cheers,
Sanjay
I only fold the mirror when I park my CBR ....and there is no issues with the rhs rvm...I tried to tighten the lhs rvm many times but no use..it's getting loose even when i slightly move it..have to sort it out tomorrow.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I had 5 punctures continuously on my rear conti, but front now at 20600km I'm on a rear 140/60 mrf n front conti stock. I got the smaller tyre for free soo I thought I'll finish the life of the front conti n change both tyres to CBR stock size mrf. I got these tyres meant for the gixxer track bike my uncle mods.Originally posted by Guru Kumar View PostWell Guys Recently I Got 2 Puncture On My Conti Tyres Back As Well As Front. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Use an extra washer for the lhs rvm and that should sort the issue. Else change the Allen key bolt cuz the bolt thread might had worn out.Originally posted by Rahul747 View PostHey Bro,
