If So Bypass The Negative Terminal To The Earthing Point That Is To The Left Of The Bike. You Certainly Feel The Difference Once You Do That. Check Thread My Story So Far By Shiv18. He Has Mentioned The Solution For Your Problem In Detail.Originally posted by RedWingRider View PostI have also faced this issue a few times and yeah it gets fine by itself.
Only thing that i noticed is tachometer needle dipping around 1k rpm while clutch depressed.
Engine sounds likr it is going to stall any moment.
A few times it stalled and other times it didn't as i immediately gave some throttle.
But this is very weird thing.
I feel like it is something related to electricals.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yea buddy. Its totally OK. I still get that sound at 25k kms on odo. But the first time I heard that sound, I thought I broke the gear lever. [emoji1]Originally posted by Rahul747 View PostHi All,
On my CBR I can hear a 'thak' sound when I shift the gear from 1st to 2nd and from 2nd to 3rd, is this normal on a new bike? My first service is due on 17th april.

Hey Sanjay I'm from Pune too but sorry I myself am in search of a good SVC. What kind of work do you need to get done? Bike Gurus in Kothrud is quite good if you're looking for a local mechanic.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View Postanyone from Pune ? please help

Re: Honda CBR 250R
As long as the bike RUNS WITH oil, there is no harm done. Fully synthetic isn't bad per se, in fact it's the "little" extended drain interval period that FS offers from its dino and SS counterparts is what makes FS proposition quite a good choice. FS or SS both are good as long as their grades match to what the manufacturer recommends; using too thick a viscosity oil for a bike that needs low viscosity then you're going to have performance issues. Stick to what the manufacturer recommends when it comes to grade, it doesn't matter SS or FS.Originally posted by Deathwing View PostSwitching between FS oil and SS oil is harmful for bike? I changed after 3000km from shell oil provided by showroom to SS motul oil, I'm considering to only start using FS in the future,.
When the bike doesn't run on OIL, that's when your real problem starts.

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
guys I have been facing a serious issue of tyre wobbling.... chain sprockets all are checked but found nothing.... adding to that a moron put a dent on the tank while trying to snatch keiti tank pad
. try to sort it out in local market but after lukin there hammer & chisel method.... simply went off. also get hold of a guy who with the help of air pressure, removes dent but read somewhere else that it compromises integrity of tank. experts please help. it is really an eyesore to have dent ...

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes ,I had a accident some 10000km ago where my side fairing got damaged ,had to go n replace it and the mudguard was slightly cracked, not sure if it is being changed because of this or my braking. Either ways I'll attach the pictures also is there any way to get rid of scratches on the tank n side without paint? Illl post up the pictures of both my discs, front needs to be changed according to my SVC at the next service and both sets of brake padsOriginally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostI have ran closely to 150 Kms after my last service.
Looks like my fuel efficiency will be reduced slightly
.
The smoothness that am feeling after shifting to Shell Ultra from ~3000K old Shell Rimula, and to a new chain sprocket set is sooooo good, that am revving more under low gear. As my regular commuting is on the high way, I can have more fun in revving it to max 10k in each gear except 5th and 6th
(mind you that I usually go to office very late and traffic will be very minimum so the risk is relatively low at that time, none the less am careful enough to slow down when ever necessary).
The gear shift is now from good to super good, some time I feel that instead of constant mesh CVT is placed and there is no sound/noise when upshifting or downshift at appropriate rpm.
Al in all, I found that me and bike are both feeling younger on the road.
And Just yesterday morning I reached this quarter lac Kms figure.

Brake disc change at 20k Kms?? Are you changing it as a precautionary measure or you are seeing any damage to the disc?
Currently am on 3rd Set of Front Brake pads(80% left, changed first set much earlier as I found un even wear) and 3rd set of rear Brake pads(70% left, 2 of which are P220 pads), and no visible signs of disc change.
As for the chain sprocket set, the stock set costs around Rs. 2000 and labour is Rs. 250
For K&N, you can check with Sergeant_DawG as he is using K&N in his CBR.
Finally do confirm us if the rs200 front pads are the same as CBR 250 front pads.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It doesn't look like a cylinder head leak to me - might be some oil spread out from other sources. Wipe out and inspect head cover gasket as well.Originally posted by leech View Post
Guys my CBR engine is suffering from premature ejaculation. Is this a gasket leak? How much does it cost to replace?
Cylinder head gasket is of 396 INR. Head cover gasket costs 96 INR.-----
