From his posts in the R15s thread: http://www.xbhp.com/talkies/motorcyc...ml#post1198076

Overheating in B2B traffic, mileage issues were the biggest concerns after he moved to the congested city of Bang-all-lore.

What made me sell my D390 :
        1. Engine heat in B2B traffic
        2. Engine braking
        3. Hard clutch
        4. Low mileage
        5. Lack of pillion comfort

        Why I bought CBR:
It addresses almost all the above problems and I got an immaculately maintained bike from my friend. He sold it as he bought RC390, irony

So what you have done is "Downgraded in performance, but upgraded in comfort and satisfaction" . So how much did you sell it for?.

I gave my bike for small repair and when I asked guys to check the hard gears issue they said it was due to sprockets and it has to be changes.
I didn't argued because its been long time since I have changed the sprockets.

Does Hard gears has anything to do with chain sprockets ?

Haha fair enough, the CBR 500r would have been ideal to switch from the 390, but Honda don't listen...

Replacing the cone set along with bearings should solve the problem for you.

Or to put it even clearer, jerky feel or handlebar sticking like feel means your steering/stem bearing needs to be replaced.

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

                    THE END

Guys, my engine oil level has gone down to the minimum, from the maximum, in a period of 6 months. Is this a normal thing or symptom of something bigger?

How many km have you covered post the last oil change?
Do you run the bike daily? AFAIK, oil change intervals are capped at 6k km.

P.S - The bike needs to be mounted on a paddock or center stand for checking the correct oil levels.

I haven't used my bike for last 3 months as I am my work project overseas. Do I need to change the engine oil and the fuel before riding the bike or is it OK?

Unused oil in a bottle if stored in a cool place is fine for use even after a year. In a motorcycle, it can stay unused (again, parked in a cool place) for 4-6 months post which the engine behaves harsh. Always better to have peace of mind, right?
Also, if leaving the bike parked for a long time (without any help who can at least start/idle the bike for 2-3 min daily), it's a good idea to disconnect the battery terminals.
