Re: Honda CBR 250R
Well I Just Saw Review On YouTube. Maximum Number Of People Are Saying Its Good For Naked Bikes. If Sports Touring Bike Like CBR Then You Will End Up With Little Bit Of More Aggressive Position.
Seconly I Didn't Like It:thumbdown:
. So Need To Know If You Or Any One Has Any Other Options.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I will give you one - squats, and stretches. Stretch your hips every 100 kms of riding, and work on your pelvic chain muscles. Hit the gym, or do squats at home, bodyweight is enough. Your ass will get stronger, and you will no longer feel the need for any extra padding.Originally posted by Guru Kumar View PostWell I Just Saw Review On YouTube. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Guys wat is the ideal highway cruising speed where the bike is happy and u get a good economy on ur fuel consumption? I know FE for each person differs as per his/her riding style and use. I've come to notice like 70-90 on 6th gear looks like the bike is most happy at? I'm not sure does anyone have any more inputs? Anything below 6000 or 7000 rpm should be good. Sweet spot between 4500-5500 rpm I reckon is a good range?

6.5 to 7.5k and 100 to 110 the bike is all happy!Originally posted by Deathwing View PostGuys wat is the ideal highway cruising speed where the bike is happy and u get a good economy on ur fuel consumption? Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

My bike and I both feel happy at 6000 RPM in 6th Gear around 96 KMPH!Originally posted by Deathwing View PostGuys wat is the ideal highway cruising speed where the bike is happy and u get a good economy on ur fuel consumption? Anything over than that is scarier to me on roads.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
For me, best economy is at 4.5k rpm in every gear. Best cruising speed is a joke question, as rarely have I ever maintained even 100 kmph for more than a minute. I find that 70-140 on 6th gear is easily done by the CBR without any stress on engine. I have covered 500 kms in one trip in this manner without any adverse effects. Of course, I got my CCT changed at 25k, so perhaps high speed riding can cause premature wear of the CCT.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Best cruising speed in terms of the engine, beyond 130 the engine is stressed in my opinion, anything above 7000 rpm is, I know its not possible to maintain that much of a highspeed, someone told me in terms of best FE 65-70 is the zone.Originally posted by leech View PostFor me, best economy is at 4.5k rpm in every gear. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Well Guys I Have Been Riding At 3.5k To 5k RPM Range On Any Given Gears In City And I Do Ride In Between 5k To 8K+ RPM In Highways. Whatever The Speed Is, My Ears Are Sharp On Engine Sound, I Get 31KMPH In City Conditions And 38KMPH In Highway.
One Thing I Would Like To Suggest That's My Point Of View. If You Check Your Tools You Have A Shock Setting Spanner Provided By Honda. They Have Done It For A Purpose. Please Do That Setting Change To Stiffer Points Check Your Bike On High Speed If You Have The Slightest Fear Change It To Stiffer Setting One Point At A Time. You Should Feel Your Bike Is Planted On Road No Matter What, Like Wise Honda Has Given You 170 Wide Tires There Is A Reason Too. Check Your Rear Axel For Tyre Pressure Stickers. Now Why Does A Manufacturer Want It So Much Visible To The Rider. Coz The Right Setting Gives You Proper Grip And Fuel Economy.
If You Ask Me Change Your Oil When The Bike Asks For It, Lube Your Chain When You Hear Your Chain, Every Week Check Tyre Pressure, Ensure Both The Tyres Are Rotating Free. Generally Break Pads Are The Culprit. So Clean The Inner Break Piston Your Self. My Only Mantra So Far Has Been Don't Trust SVC Guys. Do It Your Self.
I Have Done Max 156kmph On My CBR Not For Some Minutes Or So But Covered From Madurai To Mumbai Total 1650km. It Was Not That Hard Like You Feel On R15 To Cross 120kmph Mark.
The Art For Riding A Sports Bike Is Far More Different Than Riding Any Other Bikes. That Lesson Starts With R15.
Trust Me.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Grrr... Facing the engine stalling issue again. Just oiled my switches last month. Engine stalled twice in traffic with the clutch pulled in. I was able to replicate it by starting the bike, then blip the throttle with clutch pulled in. The idle went down to 1k rpm and then engine died. Three times.
Now I'm going to disconnect the battery to reset ecu and see if that solves the problem.

I had faced the same issue twice earlier, somehow self corrected it self, I have to keep revs above 2000 or 3000 rpm...Originally posted by leech View PostGrrr...
