Yes. I got the headlight bulb changed from Honda service center without removing the fairing.

It is possible to change headlight bulb without opening the fairing but for that you need to have very small hands and know how the locking clip locks unlocks.

I changed the bulb but now I cannot put the dust cover back! 😞

Is there any problem riding without the headlight bulb dust cover?

Will rain water or dust get inside easily?

I did check the tube and its fixed properly. The coolant level was low so filled it upto minimum mark. The reservoir has no leaks, all the hoses are fixed properly. I don't know where the leak is at:banghead: the engine oil is clean with only a little froth which is there from day 1. The froth only appears after the bike has been run for a few kms, when the engine is cold, there is no froth. Guys what should i do now? My second service is nearing, i should get it serviced within 24th of this month..

@ Sanjay, how much did you top up? Did you measure it with the vehicle upright?

The coolant plays a vital role and the fan comes later basically your engine is kept cool by coolant while it passes through engine cylinders etc and when there's no air flow (while sitting in traffic stop) or not enough air flow to make the coolant cool that's when fan kicks in.

Anyways, the point is go to SVC ASAP till that keep coolant topped off till max level in reservoir.

Yes it will , what do you mean by "I cannot put the dust cover back" just yank it in.

I filled it just above the lower mark buddy. Yes the bike was on paddock when i took the pics.

I did ram it in, but there is no space for my fingers to fit it in properly. The bottom part pops out.

Keep a check on it for a week or so. Fill it till max level and check it every week. I too have a little froth in the engine oil after running. That's coz I filled it a bit high anticipating leaks due to the broken screw in the oil filter dome.

Whenever you want to check any fluid level make sure it is in upright position on ground, this will ensure correct level indication.

Will do it guys. I'll top it up till the max level and test it out for a week. Thanks guys!

if you cannot spot a leak and the coolant is vanishing, please get it checked thoroughly. it might be a leak or a blown head gasket causing coolant to mix with oil.
Normally there will be a negligible drop in coolant level the first few months after a top-up. If you see the fluid level dropping drastically, then my friend there definitely is something wrong. (am saying drastically because normally a small amount of coolant will be sucked in to the radiator and pushed back in to the plastic reservoir under normal operating conditions)
A bit of bubbles in the oil is ok.. i've seen it on all ktm's that run perfectly including mine. It's probably down to the brand of oil that might cause up a bit of bubbles which can be observed thru the sight glass. This doesn't always mean a mix of coolant+oil, but for a peace of mind, I suggest you get the oil drained and inspected.

I will get it inspected buddy! I filled up the reservoir yesterday and i am currently monitoring for the drop in level. Yes the bubbles in oil, i have it from day one so no problem there. Anyways i'll get it checked tomorrow and also get the second service done! Thanks a lot mate!
