Re: Honda CBR 250R
Imo honda is not going to bring this up here ..Current price coversion states that cbr 250rr is ~ 3.5 lakh .Originally posted by kalimantan View PostHonda cbr 250 RR launched . It will be coming soon to india
In price sensitive market like ours honda have to rethink
. Even cbr 250r with a lower price tag doesnt suceed when there is no enough competition ( only ninja was at that other side which is costly as compared to 250r) . But now at this price point even that for a entry level sports bike to gain sales is bit diffcult .
It got honda relaiblity , looks , gadets(led etc ) but 4 lakhs on raod is quite high..
Lets hope honda bring it up here and surprise as all. but till then i love my 250r[emoji1] .Though RR is not in my list , want to upgrade to more cc but love to see it on raods.

I would say current 250r faced a fall in sales due to KTM's arrival. 80% of the people who buy performance bikes here are youngsters who look for pure perfo than comfort and reliability. But the case of CBR250RR is different. its a twin pot machine with better hardware which definitely Honda not gonna manufacture here. So if they bring it via ckd route with 4L price tag, new stunning design with features like inverted forks,ABS,ride by wire etc will make descent sales against R3/Ninja300.Last edited by Harisankar; 07-26-2016, 10:58 AM.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
The CBR 250 R is a fantastic upgrade from a 100- 150cc motorcycle for our roads and commute conditions. Over a decade of riding a vast assortment of the motorcycles available in India, i find the CBR 250R to be the most balanced package of a Tourer and a commuter, with a reasonable price tag (compared to the other options of similar stature available in the market). This in today's market is exactly what Karizma offered about 12 years ago.
However, the stock tires are a pathetic excuse of rubber. I personally find the Michelin radials to have complimented the CBR 250R the most but am setting off on a ride to Ladakh in September this year all the way from Hyderabad and was wondering if somebody could advise a good pair of Dual Sport/ Off Road tires for the tripSMOKIN' BARRELS

The stock tyres are not that pathetic, it is being falsely accused by a huge margin. Its a hard compound tyre, you can't expect leech type grip in those continentals.
And Continentals can take huge beating and will still have life in them when compared to other medium and softer compound tyres.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Dude, i have absolutely nothing personal against the stock Conti's, but a premium machine like the CBR250 R is severely handicapped by the Conti's performance in terms of handling and braking. Wet/ Dry Conditions. Now i am no expert here and neither do i endorse any brands, but i strongly believe that the CBR deserves a better pair of Rubbers.Originally posted by sanjaysangar1990 View PostThe stock tyres are not that pathetic, it is being falsely accused by a huge margin. You have many other options like Michelin PSR and PSD and bridgestone battalax. And the 2016 batches are fitted up with MRFs as standard which in my term is enough in regards to grip for day to day riding unless you plan to hit the tracks.
The sacrifice has to be made, most of the potential buyer or those who have brought the machine, feels that the CBR250R is tiny bit overpriced and if you want the bike to be fitted with premium tyres then expect the price to go up.
And for ladakh like conditions, look no further than the continentals, it can take the beating very well and plus that tyre is a good offroader too.
Cheers,
Sanjay

I was actually considering the battalax
Thanks for the input, was not aware of the 2016 lineup being fitted with the MRF's will definitely check those out, and then take a call between the MRF's or the Battalax (subject to availability)SMOKIN' BARRELS

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Don't go on the name bridgestone itself. bridgestone will set you back by 14-16K approx for a pair, and in that money, you can opt for super sticky Metzelers. and IMHO Michelin PSR is the top dog when it comes to value for the money product, life of the tyres.Originally posted by Sohaib View PostNo Offence taken!
