Its not going to be a major difference but it will be slight.

Is this same scene with the non abs model?

Guys I'd like to know in general how are Dunlop? Ive seen bigger bikes like kwacker 650 using Dunlop's... Not too many reviews too. I understand pirelli and metzelder are soft compound and are more prone to punctures. I read a comment that mrf is the answer as the poor man's pirelli.
yea..there is Dunlop tuffgrip tyre available in stock size.
I have heard good things about it but opted for MRF instead of dunlop because the local dealer refused to offer me any warranty on it and besides all that its tread pattern was not satisfactory from any angle.

        Zapper S is biasply
Revz S is radial but not available in 140/70 specs.

Mrf don't manufacture radials in 140/70 specs.

140/70 radial might not be there.

The FE will get affected, that is true. Are you talking about the Zapper Q?
yes zapper Q. but i guess those are also bias ply and not radials.

wont matter in non-abs besides loosing top end and some FE. and bike will sit lower.

i used tuffgrip for good 15k km which also includes one ladakh trip. though its a terrific tyre for offroading its marginally better than conti go's on tarmac.
Also post 12k km the rear started tramlining .

          just a quick query!!

anybody flushed their engine using petrol or diesel before pouring in fresh oil?
          any recommendations for it?

Never ever use petrol to flush the engine. The result would be very dangerous. I have seen people using kerosine to flush, there are many engine flush liquids you can also try those.

For Non abs only speedo error will be there which is applicable to ABS too.

Nope don't use any such things its not recommended and not required also if engine oil is changed in time regularly.

Something similar happened to me few days after getting the bike last year. It feels like someone did hit it with key or pressed the lens by thumb. Honda SVC wasn't having the lens at that in spare, so I laminated it with 3M mobile phone screen transparent sheet to avoid any moisture penetration. It's okay since last year and luckily there is no moisture condensation. I will visit the SVC again if they have any in spare.

Update, Switched to MRF Revz C for the rear and FC. A pair cost me 5.2K in Bangalore. Dirt cheap if you ask me! Rode for about 80kms after that, and for the price point, it is very VFM. The tyres are lighter than Michelins and the 150 rear section has a clearance of half an inch from the tyre hugger. The bike seems sprightly, and based on my experience with my last set of Michelin's, if these tyres last me for 20K kms, it is cost effective as well.

Yet to check the FE loss due to the larger footprint. Gonna pump some tyre protector gel into it this weekend. This tyre choice is just a personal opinion of mine, even though theironhorse pointed out it's obvious shortcomings. For my small wallet and urgency, these seemed apt.

Hey guys, my bike had issues with coolant some days back however i topped up the coolant again and rode for 500kms last week and after that coolant level is intact! Now, i am clocking about 40kms everyday(highway). I am hearing clicking noise from the engine from 3-4k rpm and after that there is nothing. I think it's the tappets and i am going to get it adjusted tomorrow. Do you guys suspect the shims to wear out this early? My bike has clocked 3300 kms.

If possible record the sound and upload. Shims shouldn't wear out so early. And shims make sound continuously, at all rpms, not just at 4-5k. What you may be experiencing is the 5k rpm rattle, which is quite harmless.

My shims still fine, even though I took the bike to 132 kmph before first service.

                        @avs street racer

Thanks, was gonna do that anyway. And the console was buzzing at 6- 7k rpm, so I did this. Any less ugly looking ideas?

Listen to this. Please use earphones otherwise you won't notice it. This is the sound between 2-4k rpm. I didn't rev above that.

Ive heard it thrice, still can't make out anything wrong. Afaik, shims/tappets make a coin jingling noise. Do take your vehicle to the SVC and reproduce that sound.

Took it to svc today. But the problem is currently i'm at my hometown so the svc people are not really familiar with cbr here. However they told me to fill up fresh petrol, ride for few kms and check. I emptied up the tank and filled fresh fuel today but didn't get the system g here. I'm gonna search for it tomorrow and mix it with petrol. I rode for 40kms today after filling fresh petrol but the sound is still there. I'm guessing its the shims.
