When my bike fell for the 7th time at standstill, the clutch lever bent like a banana. It broke when I tried to set it straight. Even worse than levers, sometimes the handlebar gets bent too.
I think you need to find out why your bike keeps falling from the standstill!
I asked because 7 falls from standstill kinda got overboard. No more OT.
Thanks.
Not all 7 mate. First time was due to me accidentally kicking it while getting off. Blame my sexy short legs for this. 3rd and 4th was on a ramp, while I was learning, no place to keep my leg. 6th time was by a bullet guy who reversed on me when the bike was parked.

Well true that , it's a mixup, please keep in mind, exhaust is only for the track and incase my stock exhaust goes kaput or something, god forbid , but doesn't running your bike for power, drains out the battery real fast? One more thing a more powerful battery isn't good for the bike's electricals as it can't handle the load?
A higher capacity battery will take longer time to fully charge and will not load on the charging system ...
Since the cbr is liquid cooled it may not overheat (you know as you ride the air flow also plays role in providing some cooling effect).
On idle the charging voltage will be very minimum and might not be quick enough to balance the discharge rate. Only at around 4000+rpm does the RR provide the max juice to the battery to keep up the charge.
The are just maybe's imo, so i wouldn't risk doing this.
Aah.. Got your point. Then it's just a waste of fuel and I don't think running these tiny motorcycle batteries flat(or almost) often is good for their life either. If you still want to use this motorcycle battery then it's better you get it charged at a local battery shop(may cost you less than 100rs) otherwise you can use the ups juggad to recharge the battery and finally, maybe get yourself a battery tender
Instead of running the CBR to charge the battery, why not buy the simple adjustable 12 Volts SMPS from E-Bay . , by adjusting the output voltage to 13.8 Volts any 12Volts battery can be charged ....Just check at E-Bay.in......I am using a 20 Amps SMPS bought from E-Bay at 1,200/- for my car battery charging and desulphation ...
Here is a link ...you can select higher current SMPS also if required...
PSR ji, but the whole point of using the bike to charge the battery is because there is no power! If no power, how can the the battery tender run?
I use the genset to run a water pump, which takes 15 minutes to fill up. It's not worth running it for just a phone charger during a power cut.
The Idea is to charge the battery when power is available . I am sure power IS available some time in the day and can be used for the purpose..Alternatively using the Genset can also help in charging the battery..
When Was The Last Time,You Did Something For The First Time.
Levers depends upon the Position position and clutch switch position..
I tried on aftermarket levers on my NS and it jammed my front brake.. luckily it was just 10~15kmph ride.. :P
Not all levers are interchangeable. The leverage point on the MC piston to the brake lever might be different and this can use brake jamming on bikes when they are not compatible. So, it's advisable to either stick to aftermarket (specifically mentioned non-ABS CBR or ABS CBR) and go for it accordingly. You have quite some levers sold online like MOXI and many Chinese ones. Discretion advised.

The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
Hey, Can anyone put some light on Steel braided lines ?
I've always complained about my cbr's brakes (ABS) which i feel don't tend to give that initial bite. I feel they're kind of spongy and soft, It's just my bike i feel.
Can any Steel lines fit in directly or ive to order specially for cbr which seems expensive on the Internet.
What else i can do to get a better feedback from the brakes except for changing the pads.

If you have followed this thread, many have reported that pulsar's brake line is a direct replacement for front and found it to be effective compared to the stock ones.
Some one also suggested to check with companies or workshops where they do hydraulic lines for bigger machines/heavy vehicles to get one custom made for you bike for relatively lower cost than the after market ones.
You can browse through this thread for other details.

As along as the Banjo bolt is 10mm any brake line will fit in..
RS 220F duke rear will fit in perfect with CBR..
But for ABS variant i think it has two brake lines on the Caliper..
If you going to upgrade your brake lines i suggest you also to use DOT-4 brake fluid along with it, your brake will feel sharp and more responsive..
I did the same on my NS and difference was day and night..

Hello, Zaid, there have been numerous articles regarding non ABS to ABS setup. Just to refresh my memory and folks kindly chime in if there is any mismatch. The non-ABS one can have its brake pads directly swapped from the 220 for the rear. Secondly, even the steel braided line from the Pulsar 220 and Duke 200 can be used on the CBR as the Banjo diameter is almost the same, plus it's straight and not curved as the Duke 200. Secondly, when coming to ABS, I have yet to see anyone change their ABS to a steel braided HEL or Vortex or Spiegler. But, personally, I feel my CBR's front brakes offer very good feedback, it's progressive and isn't easy on the bite force, just the right amount. But again it's a personal opinion. I feel, Apache and R15s have some of the best brakes in Indian motorcycling scene in the 150 to 200cc category, the bite is just sharp and pin point precise.
What I would suggest is drain the fluid, replace the fluid with quality DOT 4 and it should definitely improve the braking. The non-ABS comes with DOT 3 and the ABS comes with DOT 4.
I have a few questions too. Anyone here have swapped the Pulsar 220s front brake pads to the CBR non ABS? Is it a direct fit or just the rear?
Cheers!
