    • damn tough issue of spare, Honda, please live up to the international image you have in India...
IS there any way to adjust the vertical throw of lights
In my second service - as i had pointed out that my bright light throw was very towards the right of centre body line, the service mechanic opened up the whole faring, removed the front head- CBR headlight assembly and took it up stares to compare with another CBR parked thr..they adjust the headlight horizontal alignment correctly but now the distance where Dim light and bright light falls on road is almost negligible and bright doesnt give the range it used to give before...saw the page in manual for vertical adjustment, is it possible to do the same without removing the faring..?

        Hopefully strikepackage!!! Quite frustrating!!!

@adisakke - Take your bike to a competent mechanic in your city OR consult with the HMSI engineer in your state, if your ASC has incompetent mechanic.

        • Horrific and Horrified Exp

          Guys,

It happened just 20 mins ago. I was on my regular route on the road to my campus. There comes a junction ahead with little curved towards right. I generally cross that road with a little cornering on my babe. I overtook an Indica and was doing around 80-85km/hr. Blew the horn and saw there was no passerby. So, I did usual cornering but what is this? Someone has sprayed red sand and that too a handful amount of it. I just had no time to react and both the tires had already started responding to the tunes of sand. Well, I applied both the brakes. Oh my God, I am literally dancing. Both front and rear tire started wobbling in a much uniform manner. Credit to ABS here.It happened till a distance of 20-30 meters and in that span, I thought about the bad availability of spares if my babe crashes and I felt like getting thrown to the road divider. But the spares stuff made me determined to get hold of my babe no matter what happens. Believe me, the crowd thought I am doing this as a matter of stunt or by purport. Cuz it was like a skilled biker who dances on his bike after winning a position in MOTO GP. I could not believe myself. So, after 10 secs of Drama, it came to halt. I got some minor scartch on my leg while trying to balance the bike.

But I did a blunder, I immediately parked the bike and asked the road side shopkeepers that who'd done the kind act of putting the sand right on the turn. Till that time, they were thinking it was my heroics to do this type of stunt. One guy jumped out and blamed me about doing high speeds and all that and I have no maturity and he claimed himself to be a DOCTOR. He stressed on that word DOCTOR more than twice so that I could show some respect to his words. I understand good control has a lot to do with speed. But he seemed to throw his tantrums at me as if none has listened to his lecture for ages.

Its an horrific exp which made me horrified for sure. Hats off to ABS. Lesson learnt in both ways.

You have no idea how much petrified I am right now. I had been thinking for a 600cc soon in the cards, but this specific incident gave me a wake up call. Blame the Indian roads.

that is the advantage of abs....most people think what is the use of spending 30,000 more for abs....those who have knowledge and love themselves buy it....hope you are safe......

Lol that's a funny reason to avoid letting go of the bike during an accident! . Good to know that you're safe. But a very sad state of affairs for Honda to bring it down to this.

                            • ^^ Yes! Completed 7200 kms in pretty much 3 months and totally loving every KM I ride on the bike

Yesterday, on the way to Lonavala with another CBR owner, stopped at Sharayu Honda. Inquired for FS Oil and they had but unfortunately the spare parts shop was closed So couldn't purchase then. I fail to understand how Om Sai Honda is unable to source FS Oil even now

Yesterday I revved my bike till the rev limiter in the 1st - 4th gear, always ended up running out of road so rev limiter was never reach in 5th and 6th gear never happened. This was the first time I did it in the first 4 gears, and it felt good!

yape that right if you acc near red line then there is nothing left for 6th gear... well it reach to 140 in 5th gear and after that just 145 to 147 on 6th... once able to do 153 but never able to touch that point again... but it's batter to shift around 9 k if shifting fast and 10k is shifting slowly...
