Seats are quite stiff and ur butt starts to feel a bit numb after few km of ride.

2016 variant Side stand lean is more and that has been solved in the 2017 model..
Bike now Stands at around 75-80 degree angle compared to 60-65 degree on the older version.
Fuel Injector prime noise has been arrested quite a bit and its not audible like previous gen CBR.

Bike is totally perfect for city riding and highway.
But the rear brake lack bite and once in a while i get false neutral.
I think False neutral can be solved by adjusting the clutch cable..

Also guys do let know about the fuel meter reading and its Range..

How much KM can i ride wen the bike last bar blinks?
    Congrats on the new bike...

Seat is quiet stiff true, and on long run will very well feel pain in your ass, this also depends on your butt size!! :P . But there is an easy solution, very very effective and well worth it.

Get such a seat cover, they cost you around 300rs. My review: its an ass saver!
    There are costlier options too.

As per my experience one bar in fuel meter will last for 40-50km. And mileage totally depends on your riding style.

I agree with the breaks, rear has very little bite, but front plus rear combo with ABS, CABS is really good. It gives you a lot of confidence to push.

    All the best... Ride safe

Also, there was no change of parts done. Since the jamming is gradual (over few months), the possibility of dirt trapping resulting in a sticky piston is high.

In fact, I had decided to replace the caliper set if the problem resurfaces. Was not aware of the overhauling kit and would be a good option to replace ASAP.
Since, I did not have to replace anything major (chain sprocket once and regular brake pads) for 40k kms, don't mind replacing with the overhaul kit.
Here is a post on a similar issue:

You might want to at-least replace the seals, i don't think reusing them is a good idea in your case. And if the pistons have pitting or scratches, might as well replace them. A couple of pictures might help us know the actual condition of the parts..
And don't forget to grease the caliper pin & clean out the old grease from insides of the rubber boot which houses the caliper pin.

And btw what model year is your bike ? iirc there was recall around 4 years ago to replace the front brake master cylinder/mc piston.

I'm just not looking towards the aftermarket one or even with the stock levers.
In my case, I find CBR levers are the best for me. I love their design. Dropped my bike once and clutch lever got bent. Removed it, wrapped it in a piece of rag, used a rubber mallet to straighten it gently and got the perfect shape. These are made of aluminium and are soft and thin enough to be straighten.

Changed the rear brake pads to p220 ones today. Odo at 8780kms. The old pads had worn out so bad that the metal underneath was visible![emoji43] Planning to change the front pads within a few days. Does the p220 front disk pad fit? Or will I have to go for Honda itself?

Attaching a picture of the old pads.
Seeing the wear pattern of your brake pads, I assume at least one of the slider pins is jammed. Your one pad is worn out completely while another one still has some leather left. Please check the slider pins once.

Contacted my dealer today and he said they might start getting updated BS4 bikes after 15th this month. He had no clue about engines being updated to BS4 when I booked the bike last month. I'm expecting to get hands on my cbr in april at max. Phew!!! This waiting is long!!

From G A Engineering buddy. They have a Facebook page you can message them to order. It cost me ₹2600 including shipping to Bangalore.

Sir, just get yourself a detailed test ride of both the motorcycles and decide as per your requirments.

Apart from this the after sale service of Honda is not that great and sometimes you need to wait for a week or 2 or even more for non-consumable stuffs. Parts price are comparitively heavier in pocket. KTMs failure rate is much high and though their service support is good but reliability is something which always makes concern about.

I own a 2011 model but other than any consumable stuffs the only things that are changed are:-
                              1) Wiring harness(once)- Reason- Rat attack.
                              2) Body pannels(dont know)- Reason- joints are weak and regular abuse of bad roads.(Never crashed, just fallen once from side stand)
                              3) ABS plastic parts(once)- Reason- Sunlight cooked them brittle.
                              4) Shims, cam chain and tensioner(once)- Reason- Rough sound from engine.
                              5) Clutch plates(once)- Reason- ASC mechanic suggested so for peace of mind.
                              6) Spark plug once- Reason- Followed service manual.
                              6) Rear mono shock absorb links(once)- Reason- Annoying noise may be because of not lubing them.
                              7) Exhaust shield(twice)- Reason- xxxxx reasons. It just gets scratched.

Proves for me that just following the manual and Honda will never let you down. Though i am also planning for an upgrade to 390 but i dont think there would be such simmilar scenario.

Certain parts from Honda are cheaper than KTM and where I am from Chennai, don't have a shortage of parts, like for example a chain sprocket of CBR 250 is 1900, KTM is 3200... Soo certain parts of KTM are dirt cheap and CBR is a bit expensive but not like super duper expensive, and service depends on where you give it, the place where I give it, they always do the job properly , no issues Didar Honda Egmore, I have a good relationship with the CBR mechanics and the other ppl there.
