Re: Honda CBR 250R
Simple logic, if you were going for r15 and are getting CBR @ around your budget then nothing like it, go for it.Originally posted by jatints View PostThanks gor replying mate
I got information from my sources
In 2014 a customer asked for abs hlack cbr and showroom accidentally registered non ABS version and the customer argued and took ABS version and since then the non ABS is stuck in showroom thats the reason for discount
If i buy i will be the second owner
Bike is non abs and has not been out of the showroom since 2014
At what price should i buy the bike?
The bike is in A1 condition full black version
Having abs is good option but not having it is not a deal braker if you are a seasoned/experienced rider. Have seen lot of guys asking for less expensive substitute for the abs brake pads as it is as costly as car brake pads.
Now the 2nd point, check for 2014 model non abs pricing in your city and deduct about 20/25% per year from it and offer it as the best possible price for you, but that to only after confirmation about the condition. If it is used then 30/35% deduction is the norm. It was around 180K for the non abs version.
All the best.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Jon, I've attached the same a few pages back, when sman99 wanted the same info. And a year back, when I first installed it. Hate to clutter the thread. [emoji6]
The cost is ₹1800 after discount, as on 12/12/16.
I've kept the parking lights on for more than an hour, and once left the key on without any lights for 8 hours, and its had not much effect on the battery.
I've also charged a 5000 mah phone fully on the battery with the engine off, and the bike still started at first Crank. AGMS can withstand a bit of abuse. However, keep in mind the more stress on the battery, the less life it has.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Today i checked the bike price was 1.90 if you say 20% per year that means 35000*3 years means i should get it at 90k but showroom people are stuck at 1.50 but bike is never out of showroom yet!Originally posted by Pruthviraj View PostSimple logic, if you were going for r15 and are getting CBR @ around your budget then nothing like it, go for it.

I would say, if no parts required any change then 1.3l could be done.Originally posted by jatints View PostToday i checked the bike price was 1.90 if you say 20% per year that means 35000*3 years means i should get it at 90k but showroom people are stuck at 1.50 but bike is never out of showroom yet!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
According to me as long as the vehicle is not ripped of for any parts, its a good deal. Honda's generally have better resale value. i know a friend who sold his CBR 150r ridden 35k kms 2 years old for 90k later on.Originally posted by jatints View PostToday i checked the bike price was 1.90 if you say 20% per year that means 35000*3 years means i should get it at 90k but showroom people are stuck at 1.50 but bike is never out of showroom yet!

If i were you i would agree with the price and still demand the dealer for new tyres, polish and extras like insurance. Is the vehicle registered with a number?Ride Safe!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes today being a holiday I will take some photos and post. Initial impressions are of that like being in a video-game where all the night scenery zooms past at a blur. I am not yet taking it to work so it means that I am riding it late at night. Its fantastic!!Originally posted by B7ACKTHORN View PostCongratulations, do post some clear pics, of the bike, from as many angles you can. We're never tired of photos, are we.
Cheers!

Meanwhile could someone please direct me to some links for tank-pads for the CBR?

Bro, can you post a pic of your bike for the side? Been thinking of painting the alloys and the Silencer heat sheild black, but was not sure how it will look. Mine is a 2011 CBR 250 Silver too.Originally posted by sman999 View PostSome more teaser pics. [emoji12] excuse me for the pic quality. Shot in mobile. Will upload comparison pics in high quality.
Satish, please don't quote the entire picture set. Please, remove pics from quotes going forward.

9w LED auxillary lamps CBR 250R
Here are some photographs showing how the Aux lights light up the path. These were shot in my home. I would shoot a video in real riding conditions at highway tomorrow during the weekend ride and update for all who are interested. I have to play around a bit more with where to focus the spot beam so that it is put to max use without blinding the oncoming traffic.
For your reference, the green gate is approx 80feet from the bike.
Aux only
Low Beam
High Beam
Low + Aux
High + Aux

I have a couple of file pics. After i painted them black the rear alloy cracked and it had been replaced with a new one. I had not painted it yet. The reason being, black color was making the rims look aggressive and good but it also made them look smaller. By then i had stock Contigo and Michelin rear tyre and they looked ohk. Now the MRF radial 150/60 looks small and black would make it look even smaller. I didnt want that illusion so i left it as such. Also laziness :POriginally posted by onlinesatish View PostBro, can you post a pic of your bike for the side? haha.. I wanted to mount it in the position exactly as where you had mounted them. But then it is little bigger than what you have and it blocks the throw of low beam. Also either the number plate had to be custom made in smaller size or removed. I prefer the visor to be clean hence dont wanna remove the number plate. If i can come up with a better mounting point will change it cuz the wires running over the front bothers me a little. Also mounting low gives you better throw wrt to distance without much hindrance to the oncoming traffic.Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View Poststop teasing and put the full picture. and what are the other angle you have tried for the installation?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Does this give better visibility during the actual night runs?, i feel this because these spots are pointed to where the stock head lights are already lighting the roads ahead. Some times pictures will not do the justice, so this questionOriginally posted by sman999 View PostHere are some photographs....

Lights are made out of aluminium(i guess its a single piece as it has no visible signs to open them up), its a 10W LED each.Originally posted by sman999 View PostPost your pics too. we'll get some idea. Are those aux lights made of aluminium or just plastic chrome? How many watts?
these are the pics from my older setup.
here is one more mounting option, and i will post the pics of my new position of lights as soon as the network problem is sorted out(you know how chennai network is currently behaving)
As per my experience, when we are blinded by oncoming vehicles we either have to have extremely powerful lights to overcome the effect or use our lights effectively light the edge of the road so that we don't run off road. For the later these aux lights are really useful and i have had good expierence in both city and highways runs.Originally posted by leech View PostWill these aux lights help when we are blinded by oncoming traffic? That's a major concern, even the Phillips Xtreme vision bulb doesn't help much compared to the stock bulb.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I setup these lights and rode back to Theni from chennai. It was all 4 lane highways until dindugal from where Theni is just 70kms away. I didn't disappoint me. It actually complimented the existing setup by brightening it. It can be pointed further away from high beam too. Have to test. First I tried pointing it closer but not satisfied as the spot beam was too focused.Originally posted by Iam_Hoodi_CBR View PostDoes this give better visibility during the actual night runs?, i feel this because these spots are pointed to where the stock head lights are already lighting the roads ahead.
