Bro,There are 4 variants available for CBR250, Check the link Colors | CBR 250R
If you are talking about the sunbeam amazing white (Tri Colour) then its certainly discontinued long back. A little dig would have made you realise on it. Rest are available and i just checked the same on it in Chennai Kun Honda yesterday.
    Hope this helps.

The one you are talking about sunbeam pearl amazing which is rightly said discontinued long time back. But the one available on website as of now called sunbeam amazing white (white tank with black fairing) has been discontinued as well is what i have been told or may be it's not in stock that's why he might be bluffing about it.

Then it must be local specific, try other dealers. Since its not discontinued.
As he doesn't want to loose a customer he might be compromising you. though any new orders would take 30 days.

They should simply discontinue the bike and launch a new one. Do this Honda before the 2017 390 is available and you have a buyer here

PS: The new color scheme looks awful indeed except for the Repsol Race-Replica, which is a little too much for my liking.

Honda doesn't want the few 100-200 customers/ month a 300 or 250rr would bring. Who would buy a CBR300R at 2-2.5L when they got the Duke 390? Honda will take their own sweet time to launch a successor to the CBR 250R.

100-200 is still better than 10-20, isn't it? And I personally feel that a newer model will do much better because many of the 390/Mojo/TNT25 buyers skipped the CBR because of the aging looks and ugly paint scheme. But then I'm not an MBA guy who knows about market demands and all, Honda may be right also to better surrender before the fight begins.

Whenever someone asks for updated cbr from honda, all i can picture in my mind is " Shivaji saying "Never" laughing and crying at the same time"[emoji6] .

Just think about it. CBR 300R is also a single cylinder with 30hp or so, doesn't win any performance award, with how Honda Price's it would be north of 2.5l with ABS. No one will even think about that bike here. 250rr is a twin, which means it will be above 3.5. suddenly R3 will look like VFM. It's a fact that nothing new is coming and if at all it happens then I'm happy that we have more choice.

Honestly speaking, not considering brands and just considering capabilities and tech for the current IT age, the Yamaha R3 is the current day CBR 250. It does everything a CBR does, along with extra horse power, better seating position and somewhat cheap spares. Servicing costs would pit it at around 6000 Inr for a paid service, including consumables. Now if they only bring out the ABS version...

Do you see a fall in price of cbr250 after the launch of dominar??

Hope it's not an OT and being a CBR owner myself. Would I trade my CBR away, anytime soon? Definitely a stern NO, even if I had to do a kidney transplant.

With that out of the way...

Scenario 1. You get a job, go to office, the very third day, you start ogling at someone beautiful, you keep stalking them, and finally when you think, okay, let me make a move. You see the HR going on a hiring spree, and there comes new better looking with better features of course.

Options, options, options, do we ever run out of them, do we? Dominar with all due respect is nothing but a triple-sparked, tuned down KTM as we all know.

Here's another catch. If KTM introduces the 390 adventure, Bajaj will equally redesign a chassis in the due course and install the current Dominar engine and sell as it did with the 220 engine Pulsar to Avenger which was an instant hit with the masses. What if KTM launches the much awaited twin 750 naked? Bajaj would listen to the pulse of the market in and in due course would launch a bike called Bajaj DESTROYER 800 with an equally mouth watering price.

Now, you gotta remember, these are forward-looking but definitely bound to happen with the current Indian motoring scenario.. Things would only get BIGGER, BETTER and MEANER.

Power, value for money, are always hard coded in our minds. Hard earned money, put in a valuable investment is what everyone looks for. Dominar is by no means a crap job bike. It's perfectly sculpted for what it has to offer. What I would suggest is go for a "thorough" test ride, ride the bike, feel the heat, come back and listen to what your heart says.

Yawn! Enough philosophy already, I guess..

                    Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
                    The girl said, 'NO!'

And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.

The video of my ride running with Aux lights. The Aux light is positioned to throw light slighlty above the low beam to the left.

Guys its not up to the mark in the video, believe me its really better in real time. Im just posting it for you to get a general idea so that you can play with the setup. Look at the high beam, its barely visible but u know how good it is in cbr. BTW the bulb is Philips xtreme vision plus 55/60w. To be fair the lights make the good stock headlamps better. One phenomenal plus point is that it lights the pitch dark scenes really good, even the distance is unbelievable.

What I also suspect is if what you said is true then it's going to be costly to maintain for example when Sony launched PS3 it costed 800$ to manufacture but they sold it at 400$ and they made rest of the profits on game licensing same thing Ford did when they launched mustang in 1960's all of these are speculations and only time will tell its worth it or not.
One simple hard argument from my side pick a 5 year old CBR and pick a 3 year old Pulsar which one feels better after all those years and it will take atleast a year to undertsand how dominor will stand test of time.

                      Mohan

On the service end, bajaj wont be expensive but crappy. It will be treated like a cheap bike and soon due to the untrained mechanics the bike would end up in lot of trouble. The swing arm and other things doesnt look cheap but the cheap price factor comes from not reducing the weight(materials used). The weight also plays a major role in stability of the bike along with the long wheel base. I think the quality should be ohk all around but it comes down to how well the engine parts hold on after one year.

My Cbr has clocked 80k kms and the engine is top notch. The only thing that annoys me is the Chain tensioner that fails frequently.

Just cancelled my booking today with a heavy heart coz I was eager to get my hands on cbr250 and my first bike ever (I've been riding my bro HH ambition since the last 14 years). With 2017 getting really interesting, cbr250 although an excellent machine looks like a pricy deal. My heart still want it badly but I'm saving for my first bike for the last 3 years and want every penny to be worth (i might be criticized on this). It's hard for me as well but I'm staying positive that honda might do something about it. Thanks brothers for your input on my queries

Hi people. I want some help as im looking to purchase a used CBR 250r. I hav found a bike which is pearl sunbeam white color (my favourite) and is NON-ABS model. It is first owner & August 2014 model. It has clocked just 1977kms. The owner has quoted 1.25L.
                          Is it a gud buy?
Also i havnt checked the bike in person, have just seen the pics. I plan to see the bike tomorrow. What are the things which i should check when i see the bike?
Is it ok if the bike was parked most of the time after coming out of showroom? 2k kms in 2.5 is too less.
Would be very grateful to get some suggestions.
                          Thanks in advance

That's fine, wait and watch. After all it's your hard earned money and no point in squandering it on a hasty decision. Always go with what you like, don't let anyone push you.

In all honesty i feel it's a good thing you did and also that you feel very much about being worth every penny. Don't get me wrong the bike is exceptionally good, I have been using mine for 3 years plus now and almost 40k kms and i'm not complaining, but for the price it's made available and how it's been left stale for a few years without any updates while lots of new and interesting things are happening around in the industry , and it's the best time for enthusiasts like us. So kudos to you on doing what you did.
