Re: Honda CBR 250R
Use 2 bricks under the bend pipe or get a front paddock stand or get help from a friend who will hold the bike on side stand till you replace the bearings and fix the wheel.Originally posted by bala13 View PostLast edited by arvstreetracer; 04-19-2017, 05:03 PM.-----

My Service Experience
Hi All,
I had recently done my 36000 KM servicing at Sapphire Honda, Jayanagar. The technician Mr. Zeeshan was very friendly and sincere. He allowed me to be with him when the Bike was serviced. Very happy with the experience and thoroughly recommend this service center. Just thought of sharing... Please let me know if you have any questions.
Regards,
A Amarnath

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes, from now all maintenance jobs on my bike will be done by myself!!Originally posted by sid2499 View PostAre you doing it by yourself? I got mine's bearings changed at SVC.
Today scene happened between me and service advisor of aero wheels svc, dhankawadi.Originally posted by bala13 View PostSo tomorrow i am going to do first paid servicing of my bike at Aero Wheels which costs 550rs.
1) Asked him to change front wheel bearings. he said additional 300 rs labour charge will be applied apart from service cost which is 550 rs. I said, you are charging 550 rs, for washing and oil change only. Do this bearing change job in service cost.
He replied, you customers are always thinking svc is looting you, blah blah
2) my bike completed just 2k kms after last service. I not wanted to drain that oil, which is used for only 2k kms.
I asked him to don't drain oil, instead give me the new oil. I want oil purchase entry on service reciept, to keep bike warranty.
He said, they can't give me new oil. New oil to be filled in bike. You can purchase it from counter sale, but receipt is different, this will void bike warranty.
3) I said OK, change the oil and give me drained oil.
He said, they can't give me drained oil!!😡
Then i changed my mind, canceled service.
From now i will visit svc to purchase spare parts only.
We customers stick to the svc to keep our bike in warranty. But these svc people's use this to loot us.Last edited by bala13; 04-19-2017, 07:10 PM.Live To Ride✌

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Getting your hopes up already? Honda didn't announce anything yet for the CBR 250 which still sells around 300 pieces a month, a joke compared to 3000 numbers of Dominar.
IIRC the r3 also was pulled from the Yamaha website and an Xbhpian got a mail from Yamaha stating that the r3 will be available in BSIV avatar soon.

Its very hard to find the spares of my Honda Dazzler here in kerala.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostCBRs didn't pass BSIV standard, thus removed. No official announcement yet. Honda would continue providing spares for at least 10 years. That's guarantee. I got this information from a Honda dealer friend.
Didn't find a mudguard, so did a fibre welding.

As a matter of fact, even the CBR 150s has been removed from the website. You never know, just a website refresh or as Arvind said, Honda might have indeed discontinued the CBR 250R. This can bring in two possible scenarios, in case there is a complete cease of production of these motorcycles, the first problem is either they can stop altogether the probability of bringing in another quarter liter bike or any sport bike for that matter. Apart from sportbikes which is niche segment.
Remember, Honda is more focused on selling mass market scooters and commuters in India, that's their bread and butter out of which they make a very healthy profit. Secondly, this can have a ripple effect on the owners hunting for spares, though we already have insufficient stock availability at most service centers. Though it's a law that parts should be available for 5 years after a particular model's production is ceased, only time will tell.
Well, there is a twist in the tale, or is it
Cheers!

Once upon a time, a guy asked a girl 'Will you marry me?'
The girl said, 'NO!'
And the guy lived happily ever after and rode motorcycles and watched sport on a big screen TV, went fishing and surfing, and played golf a lot, and drank beer and scotch and had tons of money in the bank and left the toilet seat up and farted whenever he wanted.
THE END

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Guarantee for spares? That made me laugh. Spares take a month or two to arrive after you order also. If there is an actual discontinuation, God help us. [emoji32]
Oil filter doesn't matter much, we can use the Fz one, what matters is the shims. Without precise measurements we cannot stock them.
Stator coil, meter console, CCT, front fork oil seals, rear shock absorber and clutch plates can be stocked. That comes to ₹20k.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Don't worry about the shims. They are (diameter) universal for many bikes for many manufacturers. You just need proper thickness. If 300R comes, most of engine parts are interchangeable! Let's hope for the best.Originally posted by leech View PostGuarantee for spares? That made me laugh. Spares take a month or two to arrive after you order also.
