If you see closely it extends till the radiator. It's a heat guard. It protects the bike's upper body by diverting the heat from the radiator downwards and is partially responsible for not making "Tangadi Kebabs" out of our legs..

It gets fixed just above the head by two ties each side and behind the head by manifold. It protects many things - there are multiple wiring sockets, throttle body and its multiple connections to wiring harness, fuel lines, fuel filter, etc. are placed just above it and below the tank. It plays a major role protecting all the abovementioned stuffs from massive heat generated when motor is on. It also safeguards from a hazard in case you have fuel leak as it wouldn't let that drop directly on head.

Gags is jokes, but "making me gag" means making me puke.

I don't hate the bike at all, these rumours only, its something funny, we know honda ,as if they'll release this bike, if they do, ill be super impressed, and also its a detuned 300, soo can we expect a cbr 300? I am honestly am very pessimistic , if they do bring it in, it could really eat into the himalayans share, then again its honda india, I am not expecting jack, even rumours of the cbr 150 getting a facelift, they'll just put out the old 150 in a new paint scheme, meanwhile Yamaha plan to put out the most expensive and powerful 150cc mill.

Do they really have any plans to launch it in india any time soon or even later?

even if they are launching R15 V3 then they will have to price it very much aggressive....

It won't be good on seeing FZ 25 having lower price tag than the R5 V3 :P

Yes but expect the pricing to go up to 1.5 lakhs otr, the bike puts out about 19bhp and 14nm of torque with anew LCD display and usd forks, I suppose it will be A very premium 150cc similarly suzuki has gsxr150 ,if it releases in india , it will cost 1.3 lakhs exshowroom delhi its also got about 19bhp with similar specs and very powerful, I supposed these bikes are aimed at track enthusiasts or those who want to ride on the track but have no experience with the bikes, sorry if this is off topic , but honda has pressure now with 300-400cc category with no bike, if these rumours have some substance we can expect the 300r .

Are you sure that R15 v3 is going to make it to India? I mean would it make sense to pit it against the RS200 and the RC200 ? Yamaha already confirmed they are working on a Fazer250 based on the Fz250's mill so would a R25 with single cylinder make more sense for the current market?

I do think soo,I saw some news that the r15v3 will release this diwali or by next year, as you've mentioned a 250 makes more sense financially, but you never know what your going to get from the Japs, also got a word from Yamaha showroom owner by next year we can expect that bike.
