Re: Honda CBR 250R
SVC areally crooks. I meant pressure washing when you take it for water servicing, assuming that you do so. As for lube you can get 500ml for 350/- if you're the spraying type. Else get SAE grade gear oil if you're cheap like me.Originally posted by sstherockz View PostThanks

I too fixed a mobile holder from a local store in JC road Bangalore. It cost me 850 Rs. Have you connected the charger cable to battery?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Have started at 6 am from Bangalore. Reached Ooty by 12.30 pm.It was fun to ride through the hair pins.[emoji5] . Went to botanical garden and Doddabeta. Started to Kochi from Ooty by 4 pm via Ooty-Mettupalayam-Coimbatore-Thrissur. Reached home by 10 pm.

P.S: I have experienced a coin jingling noise after riding around 300 Kms. The sound was there tillI reach home. Next day it was ok. The same happened when I ride to Munnar last month. Is there anythingI need to worried about?[emoji19]

shan2306 - I ain't no expert on shims, but I'm guessing that in your case, the shims are slightly loose. Unless the sounds become regular, like every day, dont bother changing shims. It's better to have slightly loose shims than tight shims which could get jammed.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Take care buddy. God bless you with speedy recovery. Now no lubing/cleaning while motor on.Originally posted by sstherockz View PostI even had the same kind of accident but luckily all my 4 fingers escaped.
Cleaned the chain by engaging the 1st gear
Fingers went inside the rear sprocket and stuck. I couldn't call anyone for help as I was in basement . Somehow engaged the clutch and released.

It's okay if there is no such noise on cold start. Little shim jingling is expected once motor is hot like in your case after riding 300 KM. You may get your valve clearances checked if you are more concerned about it. If you review this ownership thread, many riders have reported the same.-----

Not yet and the guy from the store recommended me not to connect it directly to the battery instead connect to ignition of the bike.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
You are really lucky. Just got my chain cleaned and lubed with motul today. I noticed how the mechanic in the ASC were doing it. The bike was in 1st gear only when he sprayed and used the brush. While he was wiping with cloth, he put the bike in neutral and used his hand to turn the wheel, giving him control over the movement of the wheels.Originally posted by sstherockz View PostI even had the same kind of accident but luckily all my 4 fingers escaped.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
Another help, can anybody have a look at Pirelli Angel City for cbr250 and tell me if this is good? Kindly do have a look once on the internet. Your comments and review will be appreciated. But then guys, please do have a look at the tires first so you can give me a better comment or whether should I buy that or not.
Thank you.

Re: Honda CBR 250R
It's been a month that I got the CBR. So much impressed by this bike.
Rode it arnd 1200 kms in a month, mostly on highways. Before first service ~ bike had heating problem even on highways. But after the first service, heating problem hasn't occurred. Yes in city - B2B traffic, bike gets heated but I think it's normal for this bike. Also felt, riding in 1st n 2nd gear in traffic is not comfortable. But as u get space u can leave the trafic behind easily. Handling is very good. Had pain in wrist in starting but it's not happening anymore.
Previously I had Activa n used it even on highways, even did trip of 370+ kms in a single day. It was so uncofortable to use it even on 100 km ride. Had to ride Activa as had no other options. But now after using CBR, 100 km rides end so smoothly. Yet to make a longer ride, but expecting it soon.
Over all a month review ~ Riding such bike under 70 for engine break in, is the toughest part after owning a new bike. But as said, patience is a virtue, after the first service ~ this bike shows it's true beauty.
Posting some pics of my CBR taken in last month

I have connected it to battery directly. Whether it void warranty? Anyone knows how to connect it to ignition? Which part of the bike we need to open?
