Re: Honda CBR 250R
Yes, although you must check the engine oil level, brake fluid level, coolant level, and the tyre pressure every week. If you have time, lubricate the chain every week, irrespective of kms ridden. Gear oil or fresh engine oil is fine for our chains.Originally posted by M_Trigger View PostSo should I assume that its normal?

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I'll be getting the first serviced done by 30th April. And I'll surely perform all the checks during the sunday bike wash. Thanks for the advice ☺Originally posted by leech View PostYes, although you must check the engine oil level, brake fluid level, coolant level, and the tyre pressure every week. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Honda has 100-500 sales of the CBR250 a month. Given that it's been in the market for 6 years, I'm assuming that Honda has already recouped their initial investment on the bike, and are having a break even point of around 100 sales below which production of the bike is no longer profitable.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostIf Honda launches same CBRs (250 and 150) with little changes or no changes, it's good for us. I wish the CBR production continues for years! As a owner, I would get spares at least!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
A little off topic, but in regards to chain lube/clean; a friend lost his two fingers of right hand while cleaning his N650's chain last weekend in Allahabad. The serious mistake he did was he tried to clean the chain while 1st gear was engaged. Bike was on maintenance stand. In a matter of seconds due to some distraction, both index and middle finger were pulled over rear sprocket under the chain - one detached instantly and another finger crushed badly to non-repairable condition.Originally posted by leech View PostYes, although you must check the engine oil level, brake fluid level, coolant level, and the tyre pressure every week. Shared it here because if anyone is doing so, he/she must refrain from lubing/cleaning chain while motor on. Frankly speaking, I have also done cleaning while motor on for once or twice in the past. Thought to share it as a lesson if someone else does the same.-----

Re: Honda CBR 250R
I too faced this issue, I believe it's due to the air box heating, which sometimes does based on our ambient temperatureOriginally posted by M_Trigger View PostToday I observed that after a short city ride of aprox 12km both the side of the fuel tank and also pannels below the tank got warm. So is it fine or should I get it checked?
My bike is new with just 134 km on the odo
I think you have not seen that this happened last weekend. It's not possible to get back to riding after that incident.Originally posted by IamAditya View PostWHAT THE ****!!

Re: Honda CBR 250R
The finger which was detached, had gone under surgical repair and is added back. Another one which was crushed, had to go. It was beyond surgical repair.Originally posted by leech View PostTwo fingers gone, means he can't brake properly. That is sad. Is there any medical treatment that could help? Like an artificial finger or something?-----

Re: Honda CBR 250R
But how did the fingers get sucked in? Did he use a cloth? I was under the impression that the professional method involves only a can of cleaner, then a can of lube, both aerosol spray.Originally posted by arvstreetracer View PostThe finger which was detached, had gone under surgical repair and is added back. Re: Honda CBR 250R
Not aware of how it got trapped. Didn't think it's okay now to go over how did it happen. All I could get he was cleaning chain while motor on gear was engaged. Will surely ask him once he is recuperated and gets discharged from hospital.Originally posted by leech View PostBut how did the fingers get sucked in? Did he use a cloth?
