    • I had been to he svc for the shim replacement. They didn't have them & have already placed an order for the same. But they did replace the things from the the replacement kit.

I also enquired about the shims replacement charges & they said it is covered under warranty so I neednot worry. They won't be charging me for that.

As regrads to over charging they have asked to get me other svc bills & they said they will do the needfull. So can anybody mail me their scaned copy of their 1st service to me on [email protected] (Especially anybody from mumbai).

How much does the honda throttle 10W30 (800ml) can cost?

      Thanks & Regards

      • Need some help @ Bangalore..

        Hi Friends,

Looking for some pointers from fellow riders from Bangalore for the below:

        1. A good bike cover. I got my bike from City honda and they do not have a fitting cover for the CBR.

        2. Puncture sealant - where can I get it in Bangalore.

For more info, I am from Ramamurthy Nagar (KR Puram) locality..

Some pics of my baby CBR here : https://www.facebook.com/media/set/?...1&l=e11801273f

        Thanks..

You are talking about Venetian honda? And what was the reason for you getting the shims replaced?

I had asked a mechanic from another showroom for the oil which is used during the servicing. He told me its around 173rs. Same has been charged during the 1st service.

Cruising at say 4k or even 3.5k rpm (6th gear), the sound isnt heard. And as soon as i accelerate above 4.5k, it is heard. It either dissapears after 5 or 5.5k or isnt heard because of wind but is not felt in the engine. I am pretty sure its from the engine. And i started noticing it only after the second service. Other then the sound, the bike pulls fine at all gears and all rpms as normal. Maybe its some rough patch as one member suggested earlier. But it is heard to be existing in many cbrs at the same rpms. It is more noticable when riding with a open face helmet or no helmet, with a normal full face helmet on, its not so audible.

you are very much right about the matter brother... but what will be the solution?... even honda people are total failure in this case ...

            • It was Planet Honda, Rajajinagar, Bangalore.
I did a test ride with the C-ABS for about 1 km. It was not at all enough.
The showroom guy sitting behind me kept telling me to ride slowly.
Due to traffic and speed breakers, could not get a actual feel of the bike.
Bike and gear were really smooth. I definitely need another test ride.

They quoted OTR price of 198832 RS for C-ABS and 169680 for STD version.
Waiting period is a week only.
Guys anyone bought CBR from Planet Honda, please share your service experience...

I had a test ride last month at Planet Honda. I was told all the colours are readily available. They have a service centre at Basaveswara Nagar-8th Main Road, where CBRs are serviced. I received two follow-up telephone calls too. I visited their service centre and enquired about availability of spare parts. I was assured that all routine spares like engine oil, filters, etc., are readily available. When I asked specifically about clutch/front brake levers, rear-view mirrors, etc., I was told that such items would take some time as they would procure them based on requirement.

hmmmn.. No solution as of now. Will visit vihaan soon for tyre checkup, vibrations and the kit replacement(if applicable and available) and ask them about it.

@Harsh and Darshan: i may be going to vihaan today. PM me if you are interested. (Sorry, not free this weekend)

OT: @Aargee: why is Aargee so quiet these days? Does that mean no biking for you recently? Has your bike recovered after the headlamp breaking accident?

I'm mistaken for an identity to be associated with HMSI; which I don't want as I work for different company; besides ppl want to talk over the same things again; they forget search facility; I let them be

                              Have been really busy, really busy with work + no CBR in hands for now; no haven't got it in hands yet;

Good thing is parts were dispatched 26 Nov (just 2-3 days after placing the order), by the time it has come, the mechanic is on leave; what do you call this? "Damn it" seems to be mild

Yes Harsh I'm speaking about venetian itself. I'm getting this tappet noise so had been there to replace my shims.
Yup you are indeed right but is this the rate for 1L can or a 800ml can? Because they are charging us for 2 cans. If the can is of 1L then either they have to return us the remaining oil or they should had charged us for 1.5L, don't you think so. They are charging 350 for chain lube, over charging for the engine oil (considering the oil can would be of 1L) & they are charging 150-250 for consumables. Isn't it time we take a stand on this? We being cbr owner, we are already harassed by Honda for non availability of part to top it all these svc guys are over charging us for no reason. As mentioned earlier I've already conveyed it to them & they need a proof to this. So now am waiting to arrange for a bill copy of any other svc.
