I got mine replaced last month at 4.5k kms on odo. SVC people did everything to get the tyre replaced. My bike was at SVC for 3 days, and that is all I did. Contact your dealer or SVC first. If they don't give a proper response then shoot a mail to HMSI or Continental with pics of damaged tyre attached.

Because they(continental) are replacing tyres with only manufacturing defects. If we contact them directly then their people will verify the complaint and then will decide if it's a genuine issue. But if we contact HMSI then HMSI will instruct them to replace the tyre(without verifying) and then they have to replace but they will charge wear and tear. This was told to me by a continental guy.
They didn't charge me anything for wear and tear

Yes, it was on the Facebook Bangalore CBR riders group. ZMR mirrors are a direct fit.

you can try Hero Motocorp 10W30 or Castrol Activ X-tra 10W30. but these are mineral not synthetic so go for an early oil change; may be after 3K. Please check with asc if they will allow you to use oil of a brand other than Honda.

no i would never suggest you to go for change in grade. it's better to use mineral of the same grade.

                • @kishoremuthu: thanks for the update. Yes, would first approach the ASC. I am still confused if it qualifies for replacement as the cracks are small around 1/2 inch but at many places on the tyre and dont know if the are deep. Still its worrying me and would get it clarified and update about it.

Dear Knight Ryder, i would like to inform you that the colour of font you have used and all capital text is assumed to be shouting at other members. Do you intend to do so? Please try to avoid if you really want someone to help.
About you question, how can we tell you where to find it if we dont know from which country, state and city you are? Try any other Honda ASC around, even some local vendors do stock the OEM preffered oil. If you buy any other brand, the ASC may not allow you or void the warranty. So ask them before buying. Tell them to source it and adjust the dates of servicing till they do it. I would prefer sticking to Honda throttle 10w30. And as its your 2nd service, using FS is not an issue. But stick to the grade.
You gotta risk it.. to get da biscuit !!!

I think 1/2 inch cracks are big enough to justify them, as my case was also similar. Post some pics so that I can tell you if your problem is similar to mine.

had 1 pic so uploading it now. If not clear, will take and post some more. There are similar cracks at many places on the thread as well as off the threads of the tyre. I fill in Nitrogen since day 1 and have never experienced a pressure loss too early.

Perfect, this is the same thing that i had seen in my bike tyre as well as in Dreamseller's, though in later it is just starting to crack at many places. Out of all the cracks that i saw in my bike's tyre one of it was almost 0.3-0.5mm wide.

Even i didn't face any issues with the tyre pressure. I was riding the bike for 1.5 months after i reported the problem. Found a puncture 1 week before i got the replacement and when i went to fix it, the mechanic saw the cracks and said shockingly that it is manufacturing defect and the tyre might burst. Fortunately got it replaced it within a week

@chicmagnet: believe me bro, i too practise similar, but as i was uphill, i could see the two rickshaws going straight in the second lane for quiet a while. And so i dint think of slowing down. Anyways, lesson part 2 learned. (lesson 1 was from aargee ) hope to meet you as i am in mumbai for a longer time now.

@avenger88: Congrats and welcome to the club bro!

I called the svc today and they said both the parts are available. His computer was not working at that time so he didnt gave me the exact prices, but he said that the handlebar would cost somewhere around 500 and the lever 200.
Unlike other places, spare parts including fairing, etc are readily available here in Chandigarh from nearly 2-3 months.

                              • @Kishoremuthu: Thanks a ton bro! You gave me some hope now lets see how the ASC guys respond to this. I dont wish to run after them for it. Hope its a smooth process as you had.

@MAD BIKER: Lucky you! So no much waiting. Good to know that parts are available. (is it because of the proximity with the factory?)

@Knight Ryder: chill bro! I am no one to object here. Just a member as you are. It was purely an advice. I dont want mods or seniors to warn or delete anybodies posts and so the advice. And its not me who hates your font style, posts or even you, its a part of the forum rules. This is a public forum for passionate and likeminded . Everyone has a right to say his mind but no one is above the forum rules.
I am sorry that i tried to explain this to you instead of just reporting the post to mods as other members do (which i dont like). No personal offense, so would leave it on you what to follow and what not. You are welcomed to share your experience with us.
I read you are from delhi. There may be many other ASC's around. You can try to source the oil from there or can get your bike serviced from the other ASC as well. Delhi guys can help you find the best and closest ASC.
