how many kms have you done till date..? i have finished 900 and have now started short bursts till 8.5k rpm, however there is a strange rattling sound around 5-6k rpm from the front..you experience that too?

Anybody could help me with the tank-pad and handle bar grip installation process? would be of great help if you guys could reply to my last post. Thanks.

If you've handed over the first service coupon, then this is gone to someone's pocket; if not, Rs 35 is the standard labor cost for changing engine oil.
My entire labor for 3rd service is Rs 325 (without tax) & I was told that there're certain components that shouldn't be charged & will be compensated during subsequent service. The highest is Rs 143 for removing the complete swing arm & changing the chain & that work is for about 1.1 hour. The tax for labor was 10.3% & the total was Rs 358!!!

Even if it does, there cannot be a great variation

Note - If you've the bill with part numbers, pls do post the same. Reason being ASC could quote you completely different part number & show that they were reasonable even if the work didn't attract those components.

I am using 10w30 mineral oil since first oil change, done close to 5k on ODO so far didn't face any problems as Nitesh mentioned. I doubt if changing from mineral oil will solve the problem.

Service charge depends on the type of engine oil they use. By seeing the charge of your oil it looks like they have used mineral oil. Honda 10w30 mineral oil comes in 800ml cans and cost is something around 250Rs.
BTW 350 for chain lube

well in my service center they don't charge for chain lube and cleaning, I used to go to service center every 500 kms for it and they do free of cost I ask few time but they didn't charge for it...

Well friends I'm feeling engine jerk, in 3rd or 4th gear around 4500 rpm to 7000 rpm, specially 50 to 70 Kmph range, else bike is butter smooth.

Few day back I touch 155. shift to 6th between 135 to 140 red line... but not feel engine problem, but I feel it in 50 to 70 range, but not feel same on 5th, 6th gear in any RPM.

If you are using 10W30, honda throttle, then it is not mineral oil. It is Full Synthetic Oil. From what I was told, Honda has only 20w40 mineral oil.

Do you feel engine vibration or like pistons scratching on the walls? Every bike has a "rough patch" i.e which occurs at a particular rpm range. no need to worry about. its an engine behavior. My previous bike FZ16 has the similar thing at 60-65kmhr and goes out before and after that limit. Hope this is thing which you are mentioning

It is not FS oil and moreover here the ASC don't have FS oil with them

. I have the oil which i use in my bike, at home. The price of one can (800 ml) is around 270Rs. Will check it and let you know the exact price. I believe FS oil is not that cheap.

Honda does have 10w30 mineral oil .

so finally we have both engine oil here 10w30 mineral and FS

10w30 mineral oil
mineral oil costs 234 rupees per liter.

10w30 FS oil
FS oil costs 504 tupees per liter.

Probably from the fairing.. Get all the bolts tightened.

10w30 mineral is the one being used on ZMA/ZMR. It is mineral&manufactured by Idemitsu. Rebadged as Honda oil.
If you are looking for a 10w30 SS oil, TVS Tru4Premium is there.
So now you have all choices in 10w30 grade!

Good piece of info. Read somewhere here in XBHP that TVS SS oil loses its quality in equal time as mineral oil. Anybody have info that?
