how many kms have you done till date..? i have finished 900 and have now started short bursts till 8.5k rpm, however there is a strange rattling sound around 5-6k rpm from the front..you experience that too?

My entire labor for 3rd service is Rs 325 (without tax) & I was told that there're certain components that shouldn't be charged & will be compensated during subsequent service. I am using 10w30 mineral oil since first oil change, done close to 5k on ODO so far didn't face any problems as Nitesh mentioned. Well friends I'm feeling engine jerk, in 3rd or 4th gear around 4500 rpm to 7000 rpm, specially 50 to 70 Kmph range, else bike is butter smooth.
Few day back I touch 155. shift to 6th between 135 to 140 red line... but not feel engine problem, but I feel it in 50 to 70 range, but not feel same on 5th, 6th gear in any RPM.

If you are using 10W30, honda throttle, then it is not mineral oil. It is Full Synthetic Oil. Do you feel engine vibration or like pistons scratching on the walls? Every bike has a "rough patch" i.e which occurs at a particular rpm range. no need to worry about. its an engine behavior. My previous bike FZ16 has the similar thing at 60-65kmhr and goes out before and after that limit. . I have the oil which i use in my bike, at home. The price of one can (800 ml) is around 270Rs. Will check it and let you know the exact price. I believe FS oil is not that cheap.

10w30 mineral is the one being used on ZMA/ZMR. It is mineral&manufactured by Idemitsu. Rebadged as Honda oil.
If you are looking for a 10w30 SS oil, TVS Tru4Premium is there.
So now you have all choices in 10w30 grade!Quench my thirst with gasoline!
