Because I asked about the camp several times and also gave them update about the camps organised in south, the last time I asked them about this, I got a reply from my dealer that the Dealers in and around Kolkata are planning for a meet of CBR owners. Not sure if it is that.
Hope I will be receiving the invite.
The HMSI engineer should supposedly be present there but I'm not sure if it's an HMSI initiative. But he did say that every CBR owner will recieve a formal invite for this. Let's see how much of it is true, and how much hoax.

                • Done with my BLR- Coimbatore - BLR trip...

                  Hi Guys,

First of all, congrats to 'the fastest Indian'

Now, thanks to all your advice and guidance, I completed my trip to my hometown from bangalore and the return trip with zero issues. It was an awesome ride with almost no discomfort. I had slight neck pain, possibly due to the helmet weight, but I started turning my head left and right every 10-15 minutes and it vanished.

I was sticking to the 6.5 k RPM limit and kept varying the engine speed. Performed an oil + filter change once I reached coimbatore, 450KM on the ODO, 350+ on the trip meter.

The only problem I could point out is the rear tyre. I was passing through the thoppur ghat section, where the road is kind of patched-up every here and there. While handling these patches, I could clearly feel the rear wheel slowly fishtailing, though I kept the handlebar straight.

I was curious to see what would happen if I tried changing directions and this increased the amplitude of the fish-tailing. Scary on a highway filled with trucks

Any ideas if it was because the tyres are yet to break-in properly or is it a known problem? Had the same problem with my return trip as well..

Some points...if you may want to consider...
                              1. Coolant need not be changed at all in first service; it hasn't been changed till date (11.3K on ODO); if at all they want to touch coolant, just top up; costs not even peanuts
                              2. If you've presented your first service coupon, then they HAVE TO check for valve clearances & change the shim accordingly. This is part of the first service
                              3. Ensure chain slack is less than or equal to 5% - not sure if this is done on your 1st service
                              4. Chain lubing

Agree with you; probably without the coolant
