Wasn't it changed a while back? Anyway, will call you sometime when you are free for more details.

For the records, 79 days of wait and counting.
Its almost the end of the November now. Didnt HMSI committed before about the availability of spares by November. I thought this spares issue must have been sorted by now. CBR is most likely my next purchase but those types of issue forces me to give a second thought, i am also expecting an update(rectification of present niggles) from HMSI after they took all those customer feedbacks from owners.

Ji I guess the return spring in the Master cylinder had become compressed, and less in length and so you have more free play...or else the lever's tip that engages with Master cylinder piston is worn...

            • officially in...

              hey group....

finally i am in with red CBR.....tooo late....but yeah i m in heaven of CBR bikers!!
trying to follow all you guys shared like no red lining, no sudden breaks or accelerations, not more then 4.5K RPM...
would read the manual, once i get it from showroom.
i planned to change engine oil and ilter at 200Km mark, but service guy recommended me to for first service at 700.....i have read it in this thread and know that i should change it, when bike feels a bit bad....still would like some suggestions (kindly PM me, if my noob Questions make this thread a bit lengthy)....

its not even been 24 hrs or 100 km till now for me, pardon me please for getting restless in asking silly things, which i understood initially by this forum

PS : pic from my mobile cam

don't take life toooo seriously....u won't come out of it alive...!!

I've been told that the new pads has to be scrubbed against a rough floor before fitting; in that aspect sand paper is far better.

And to answer your Target fixation, yes, I wanted to stop before rear ending the bus as I didn't have options to steer right or left; besides I couldn't think anything other than to stop.

                    • Some feedback

A long time since I posted here.

I have been riding my bike for the daily office commute.

From 19th to 21st, I visited an old regimental officer, now retired, at Gandhidham.

The bike has done about 2200 kms till now. On the highway, I have found that she loves to sit at 80 kmph and exactly 5000 rpm. 100 kmph is at 6000 rpm but the engine sounds scruffy not strained. Beyond that, she still has quite a bit of go but I don't want to go higher as the bike feels very, very light and vulnerable to winds.

One more thing. With the tank at 3 bars, she is too light for triple digit figures (for me atleast). But with the tank full, there is a sea change. She is heavier, steadier and stays planted even at 110.

I have taken her to 120 in lonely patches of the highway. Yet, the engine speaks to me that it is happiest at perfectly 80 and 5k.

With the rear suspension at the 4th notch, it is a tad hard. At the 3rd notch and single seated, it is frighteningly skittish and very hard on the butt. But at the 5th notch (softest), it is beautiful on the highway. I prefer the 4th notch so that I can know what the tyres and suspension are up to.

Chain noise and smoothness are very much dependent on lubrication. With a well lubricated chain, there is hardly any noise barring the standard one. But with the lube worn off, the chain sounds a bit grating on the ears so I always carry a lube can on long journeys. After 2 hours at 80 or 90, even a few drops of oil on the chain work wonders.

Sry to say its incorrect; 6K RPM is precise 96 Kmph

I'm not debating on this as its purely riders choice; Mine feels comfortable between 112-120. 80 is too slow & I feel like lugging the engine. Once again, I'm not debating as its rider's choice.

The tire pressure can easily give that difference of 4Kmph.

I want to know if the ABS models can prevent front wheel lock up when:

Your answer in short is YES

Irrespective of which brake you apply the C-ABS kicks in and reads how much braking in required and halts the bike, given there is enough room for braking

                              • Damn I hate getting pounded from back. Though no damage. but idiots riding bike keep hitting the back when ever i stop at a signal. I always make sure that i dont brake too hard as i know that not all bikes are able stop as quickly as CBR. I usually always slow down well before stopping at a signal. Its not even a month and in previous 3-4 days have been hit 3 times already. I hate it. I dont like any touching my bike. I was thinking of removing the saree guard but now i dont think i will be removing it as it is proving to provide some protection from these ignorant idiots. Im so angry. This never happened to me even once when I had an old pulsar, which i would not care much and used to brake without thinking of being hit by others(no reckless driving). But Im being so careful with this bike, still getting hit.
