Hah finally .. my bike's figures tally with this precisely.
Guess the only thing i need to fix now is that vibration from the (visor/fairing/console/wherever the heck it is coming from)
      Thanks for helping

My dad didnt like the seat height at the rear (at first sight)
But then when i took him around the city over bad roads he actually liked it very much cos the suspension setup and the meaty rear tyre works its charm. Smooth sailing

Thanks you Ride details will be up soon.. Don't know where but I'll keep you guys posted.

About the brake pads, I posted about them multiple times the recent past pages of this thread. I bought them from UK. Foundout recently that the CBR600 2011 has the same caliper as the ABS unit on our CBRs so it wasnt a tough job to source them in the international market. Costed around 1800 including shipping n other stuff. I have no hope on honda when it comes to spares so got 2 pairs before hand.

No probl;em with the bike at all. Just that the chain is very loose now. No other issues or concerns at all. Mine was from the first lot. Done 10k kms on it till date and never did I face an issue with the bike. Runs butter smooth.

I was getting an AVG of 31.6 kmpl though I was redlining the bike. Was doing speeds between 110-140 and did 150 some times..

ABS works like a charm undoubtedly, It became better after I changed my brake pads to "HH" rated pads. Worth every penny. The entire bike is worth it.
Helmets Off for the amazing Feat!!!
I suppose your CBR250R should be the first in the world to complete this record

Heartiest congratulations to you and the bike. Full report please - planning, execution, summing up etc etc.

My steed too is from the first lot, zero problems yet. I wonder why so many owners are facing serious issues...

                    • Sigh.
They take apart all the body panels and they fix them back together on the bike.
They ask me to test the bike when i get there and as soon as i moved i could feel the vibrations
I turn around go back and tell him that and the answer i get is "Sir. That is normal. It is the sound of fibre body panels rubbing against each other. It is normal for the first few thousand kms"

And then he says "I will fix it during ur next service if that problem would last that long"
Now i gotta live with this annoying vibration+noise for a while
                      Got a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

Nitesh, you don't have to; trust me, all the vibrations CAN be fixed; Like Pr4nav says, they should be lying to you; the procedure is to tighten all the bolts & nuts to the torque mentioned in the workshop manual. Even after that, if it exists, then that should disappear after few Kms. I agree with Pr4nav that, either ASC should be serious enough with your bike OR you should be present there.

                            • guys i had booked R15 one month back, without test riding the CBR and finally got a test ride and instant change of decision.

copy-paste of my post in R15 v2.0 thread.

In a week's time it will be CBR owners +1 here

things which mattered for change of decision:

                              R15
                              1) my 6 Ft lean figure meant i felt like sitting on a goat, toy-ish, i took pics went through them over and again.
                              2) changing gears - i dont know, some strange angle, tried to adjust by sitting back and forth - pain on ankle.
                              3) while test driving r15, didn't feel the punch - may be the power is stacked up 7.5K rpm and beyond (i was riding it between 4-5K rpm)

                              CBR
                              4) low end torque, wow, just wow! kept on pulling - didnt even have time to check the rpm it was that much fun.

additional info which i factored in while taking the decision:

                              1) cbr is just 42K away (onroad) from r15. 1.69K - Mysore
                              2) age factor - my college days are long bygones (subjective).

paid full amount - cheque, possibly in another week's time i would have my big red machine.
