Its not even a month and in previous 3-4 days have been hit 3 times already. I hate it. I dont like any touching my bike. I was thinking of removing the saree guard but now i dont think i will be removing it as it is proving to provide some protection from these ignorant idiots. Im so angry. This never happened to me even once when I had an old pulsar, which i would not care much and used to brake without thinking of being hit by others(no reckless driving). But Im being so careful with this bike, still getting hit.
It has happend to me many times.. that too when i am standing still at a signal. Doesnt really cause any damage to your bike, you are better off ingnoring.. These days I dont even turn back when it happens

this happened to me as well .. but in my case ... i was standing at a traffice light and ... after 3-4 secs ... there was a thud... a guy in his maruti 800 had hit the rear portion and broke the rear number plate and the fender. Had a very hard time getting it fixed......

Is it true that its extremely difficult to get CBR parts here in India.. was told by the mechanic @ the honda dealer where i gave it for service..apparently it takes weeks to import

Ya people hitting the bike from behind is happening way to often than I imagined! I have to ride sanely especially close to traffic signals and slow down considerably near a stop or a traffic block. So far this is working for me.

Well .. yes... i have not been able to source the rear fender... so had to get a bigger number plate to hide the broken fender ...... its been really long since i had requested the ASC guys to source the parts .. but to no use..

              • one of the common problems reported now is the jamming of the radiator fan assembly in muddy conditions or otherwise

3 bikes lying at vihaan honda

one took 2 months & that too after honda people visited for the camp

now unfortunately mine is one of them --lying there since a week --- let's hope for the best

I'd my radiator blocked for about 20-25% yet the vehicle was running good just that the fan was running quite often; JD666 had witnessed this while I was in Jaipur. Can you elaborate on this pls? Are you saying the fan doesn't run at all?

Bikes doing quiet good. No major problems. Had a stiff handle but got it fixed recently. Just 1 thing thats bothering me it that theres an engine rattle while accelerating between 3-5k rpm. but goes away after 5k rpm. 750+kms completed,1st service is due hope it gets done this weekend. Last week could not get the servicing done as there was no oil filter available.( venetian honda).

Ive got a red std. No upgrades yet, i just may be adding a tank pad and a reflective rim tape(maybe black). For now just got a pro biker pair of gloves.

Whenever i see any cbr onroad, i wonder if it would be some xbhpian but who knows.

                      unfortunately --not in depth

but yes the fan stops working completely -- you cannot even turn it with your hands-- the fins or the assembly kinda fuses & needs to be changed

Some remedial action is being suggested at honda as this seems a design flaw. Can only elaborate when I see it physically for myself.

Same here. I have already replaced 3 number plates. And the tail end of the rear fender is badly scratched now.

@DK: so if the fan is jammed, did you ever experience the temperature bar rise to four or more? Or too much heating up?

@aargee: sorry to know about your accident and glad to know you are safe. So any estimated time by HMSI for the headlamp assembly? Not being a frequently required part, we can expect they make it available soon. Or is there a different story?

I too have some scary incidents with the bike and brakes recently. I care for my CBR more than a baby and still problems keep niggling me. Its affecting the reliability factor.

                            .
No -- since the outside temp. in NE was low, I never experienced the engine heating up much (atleast to the point of showing 4 or 5 bars in indicator) though the vibes had increased considerably across complete rev range.

After that the bike was shipped out from guwahati & directly given to service centre from the station upon arrival.

                            • Helloo

Guys !! I am Ramesh from Nagpur I own twoHonda marvels... CB Twister and CBR 250R. I own a Red CBR 250 R C-ABS for the last 3 months.. Bike has done 750 kms till now.. first service done... with text book precision.... The dealer here is good and does in front of you atleast in my case because he know I write to Japan if he messes with my bike. The guy had not removed my twister engine gaurd while changing oil and bent it and I wrote to the Honda CEO in Japan,.. next day ASC owner turned up at residence and took the bike for engine gaurd replacenment after this I get royal treatment. I keep HONDA in edge of the sword for after sales service and only qualified tech touches my bike the ASC owner personally takes intrest

Just lightly grab the brake lever before you're braking so that ur brake light comes on well in advance.
