last night while taking the bike for spin people were actualy thinking honda has launched new variant coz of the finishing and the design. It is no doubt the best finishing wich is most important and essential in the paint job. And luckily the paint job finishing looks better than company paint. Anyways wil upload pictures soonOriginally posted by harsh_66328 View Post

Motorcycle for a matured rider (R15 vs CBR250).
Hi Guys, this is my very first post in Xbhp and I am really excited to be part of this powerful community.
I know R15 vs CBR debate has been done to death and I also know that they can't be compared as one is the perfect track tool while the other is a powerful tourer. But my problem is a bit different as it is related to the service level of the ASC. I simply love my Royal Enfield Electra which I bought in 2008 but the service level of the company ASC is beyond hopeless. It is a wonderful machine though a bit quirky. However the ASC is another story and so I mostly service my bike by a local mechanic who though a bit expensive gets the job done very nicely.
I am now thinking of geting another ride as my Electra has began to show her age, though I am not selling her in this lifetime. Right now I am confused between the R15 and CBR 250. As far as I can see CBR 250 is a wonderful machine but again led down by the ASC (just like Royal Enfield) as they don't know to service the bike and also do not have spares. Yesterday I just did a cursory check in Pratul Honda, Kondapur, Hyderabad and the service guys have confirmed that they still don't have spares readily available (read oil filters, brake pads etc) but can get them in a week's time if I order.
I have already placed a booking for the new R15 but I am bit apprehensive as I am more of a Tourer rather than a Racer. Moreover it appears small and the pillion seat is non existant. The only thing going for the R15 is the somewhat good service quality level provided by the ASCs of Yamaha.
Guys please do let me know your opinions...mind says go for R15 (it has a good ASC backup) while the heart says CBR (but ASC is bad, non availability of spares). But again, I listened to my heart the first time and bought the Electra and was somewhat disappointed because of the ASCs again.Apologies for the rather long post.Triple S

Slight OT -I had almost bought the DS500 ( heck,i even started an ownership thread after booking it) however booking & owning a bullet are 2 phenomenas light years apart was something that hit me after waiting for 3 monthsOriginally posted by TripleS View PostHi Guys, this is my very first post in Xbhp and I am really excited to be part of this powerful community.

and of course the nearest ASC is minimum 25kms away with only 2 mechanics for 500's!!!

Back to CBR - ASC's here in mumbai are quite upto the mark and seem to be doing their jobs, wonder whats wrong with hyderabad. Service was the only
tipping point for me to go for the CBR.
Having said that, Coming from a bajaj pulsar ownership background for 6 yrs, i could have survived anything

Just happened to bump on this site. Which stocks accessories for CBR250R & other bikes. Comparatively they are cheaper then other sites.
For eg. Frame sliders for CBR250R for 130$

Link : Honda Frame Sliders, Frame Sliders, CBR Frame Slider | NiceCycle.com
The best part is, they state that ship anywhere in the world for FREE as below
International Shipping terms
Anyone any clue or experience about this site.!

I am still maintaining the initial run-in period. Been just 4 days & 200kms old am riding. Hence cant comment much on it. Though am loving it with each km I do. The handling, braking is just superb IMO.
Should not be a problem at all for leh, as already Darknight has rode in tough terrains in North East & Kurtrules has done a really zippy ride from Delhi to Leh in flat 33hrs
So wouldnt be an issue.
So far, I havent faced any problem. So far.. So good.. If any problem, I will update this thread.

Just my opinion....I use to ride a Classic Bajaj Pulsar 150 (which by bro currently is still using) and I would say that the maintenance is not that painful. It can be easily repaired by any roadside mechanic.
But maintaining a bullet is relatively difficult. The nearest available mechanic who is willing to work on a Bullet is 30kms away while the roadside mechanics simply refuse to touch as they say that the internals are too complicated (I have a cast iron bull). But the ride quality plus the experience can never be had with any other bike. Call be crazy or biased but it is the hard truth....Bullet is that kind of a ride. I have riden continuously for 1000+ kms in 16hrs but faced no issues...it is simply an awesome bike if you maintain it well.Triple S
