Happy to hear that they have changed your radiator also. I just want to know if they are replacing engine as well under this kit. Why I am asking this is because the paint in my bike's engine is peeled off at few places and thinking to ask for a replacement of engine

Please let me know too. There's paint peeling off from my engine too. And while Honda is at it, how about they providing the cylinder head from Raceconcepts?

Neel08 : I think so too. Just that I'm tired of going to the SVC and coming back still waiting for the spares. By the way, the SVC said the radiator costs 28k. I just hope ICICI pays up in time.
You are not a chemical. So think before you react.

      • ^^ The engine is under warranty and the paint peeling off will re repainted for free by your SVC. I got this confirmed from my service centre as well and they said it will be done for FREE for as long as the bike is under warranty

        • From a past few days, sometimes when the bike moves forward when it has been standing stationary for a little while, the front suspension makes a big, scary sound.I am unable to explain how it sounds or where the sound comes from. When i move the bike again, there is no sound. What it could be?

Yes they are replacing cylinder kits also. I had the same problem of paint peeling off. I got my replaced couple of days back. Although i had to pay Rs.338 for the gaskets because they told me that the gaskets are never covered under warranty. But i would not suggest you to get it replaced because your engine will be opened up. When i Dropped my cbr at the service center, they didn't tell me that they would replace it and i thought they would just paint it.

No, apart from the easily scratched part, my silencer has different color/ shade at different parts. When is howed it to ASC they told me that Honda has put lacquering and due to heat the lacquer is changing color.
This results in dirty looking, botched silencer shield.
                  Anyone else facing this issue?

                  ...
                  In short:
Hard run in means to ride the bike to its top performace in the initial 100 KMs. This is called Motoman method.
Manual run in means running your bike as per your manual during the run in period ( i guess the indian manual says 500Kms and the Jap version says 1000 Kms)

Both are equally advcated methods of breaking in your engine. Please research and decide for yourself. The only difference people have observed between the two is the Moto man method makes the bike a little rougher, other wise they are pretty much same.

If the front fork bush replacement fixes it I have to somehow convince my ASC to get it replaced, they say it's not in the kit
Been there done all of this but no luck. The bike still continues to wobble. Will try to get the fork bush changed.

Dr. Archit, would it be possible for you to post your bill, where it says that the front fork bush was replaced in the kit/ under warranty. We can use your case and try to get the fork bush changed for us as well.

I guess the noise is coming from your front disc brake.
My bike too have this issue. When i took it to ASC they told me that it is because of dirt and dust in the break pads. They cleaned it and it stopped for a day or two but its back again. So no clue how this can be fixed for ever . Its very annoying and happens specially when the handle is turned completly towards any of the sides.

Thanks for the heads up bro. I too was bugging my ASC for this but now will keep my mouth shut .

                      Welcome to the CLUB
The color is fading because they do DIesel wash on the silencer cover. They did this when my bike was HOT and they apologized later in the evening and told me they would paint it for free during my second service. Now that i am free i am yet to decide when i should take her in for service because the kit hasnt arrived yet and im planning to get both things done at once

                      • the "contact us" option in the hmsi website does not seem to work at all.i thought of sending a mail regarding the issues that are still not resolved even after the so called replacement camp programme.there seems to be a lot of differences the way the dealers tell us regarding the replacement kit.
members who have got their replacement can you all post the scanned copy of the bill so that we can cross check among ourself regarding the no of parts and we can verywell show to the individual dealers and demand them outright???????

anyway just a second back got a call from surya honda that a free check up is been organised and was asked to bring my bike tomorrow morning.did anybody get a call from surya honda???? i really dont know what they are going to check ,because they have changed my mirror bolt and placed an cover over it last week and was told that thats the instruction from hmsi and no other part is changed. now a second call for so called check up probably they will change one more nut and bolt i suppose ..idiots....really frustrated, but anyway tomorrow i have decided myself to be ready for a fight with those fellows, decided not to take my bike if they dont resolve the wobbling issue ..let me see..

I dont think there is any bill given for the replacement kit. I didnt get any. They changed the screws and bolts everywhere + the grab rails. I had told them a day earlier regarding the free engine oil that i should be getting. I told them that its given in other service centers and not here so they agreed and happily gave it. Now yesterday i too got a call from the svc to bring my bike for free check up and to take a free can of FS engine oil. but i already got it last week. Anyways i'l take it for the free checkup.
If they are not giving you the engine oil, 'ASK' for it firmly. I cant say about other parts included in the kit but i think if your bike has any faulty parts they will get it replaced for free.

                          • Yep, it would really be a great help if we could somehow prove that people have gotten their front fork bush changed, so please do post the bill

On a side note, even I had to ask the ASC guys specifically for the oil, only then they agreed and I told them to change it.
