There is no need to maintain the 5000rpm thingy at all. The bike should be run in at all rev ranges normally. The owners manual doesnt say anything about maintaining any rpm range. It only says avoid sudden acceleration and launching at higher rpms till first serviceOriginally posted by Bipr15 View Post@piyush2112
So that means we have to maintain speed only to 500 km not 1000 ? Asking this cuz i already crossed 500 km marked and still not riding my beast above 5000 rpm plz ans guys thxGot a $5 head? Get a $5 helmet.

They quoted 28k. I'm yet to get a concrete figure as I'm yet to receive the parts. Will update this thread as and when my bike is repaired.Originally posted by Neel08 View Post
Isn't they quote 22k for radiator ?
Anyway please post the total cost of the whole restoration when it done.
P.S. In fact restored is a better word for my bike.
Please do PM me their no. That way I'll be able to have an idea. Thanks.Originally posted by drarchit View Postbro how come the radiator costs 28k????
here when i enqured they said that the radiator costs around 9.5 k if you don't believe i can give you the contact no. of my asc you can ask yourself. and the fan behind the radiator which is of panasonic brand it costs around 3.5kYou are not a chemical. So think before you react.

Silencer shield
They did not do any kind of diesel wash in my case because i stand when my bike is washed or serviced. But i still have this ugly looking blotched shield and the explanation is as per the ASC guy. He told me that if you peel off the lacquer then there will not be any change in color. Let me talk to the HMSI people and see if i can convince them to change it for all the people who are facing this issue.Originally posted by Nithesh View PostWelcome to the CLUB
The color is fading because they do DIesel wash on the silencer cover. They did this when my bike was HOT and they apologized later in the evening and told me they would paint it for free during my second service. Now that i am free i am yet to decide when i should take her in for service because the kit hasnt arrived yet and im planning to get both things done at once
I guess in this thread only the breakin is discussed at length. You can search for it.Originally posted by Bipr15 View Post@piyush2112

As far as riding below 5K is concerned you can ride your bike as fast as you want just remember below points:
1. no sudden change of speed. Do not accelerate or decelerate suddenly.
2. Warm up you bike till 3 temperature bars before you start to rip her (this is my personal gyan so you can ignore it if you want )
3. Your oil change interval should be as per your riding style. If you like red lining your bike very often, change your oil frequently (if company tells you to change at 6K, change at 4K).
Do google and you will find so much about break in. If you can try sticking to manual, it will give you a smoother bike.
Hope it helps.

Fuel consumption update..
after nearly a month took my baby ceeber for a night ride and decided to fill her up she gobbled 7.66 l of speed and the trip meter showed 250.6 kms so the avg. comes out to be 32.72 km/l not bad since i ride her mainly in the city and occasionally on the highway. the odo meter now stands 1608 kms nearly 3 months after she came in my life. after the change of the fork bush and the foot rests there are no more vibrations and the bike is more stable and lot more enjoyable to ride. touched 146 km/hr just few minutes ago. The only grouse which remains is the road noise from the continental tyres they produce such a noise that at times you are fooled that the tyre is puntured is there any solution to end this road noise? this bike is so much fun to ride and you will fall in love with this baby ceeber in no time. happy munching miles

Actualy i had this red n silver cbr but my bro slipped it on gravel, resulting in fairing scratches handle bent and what not. So thats when it came in my mind to give new colour wich is WRB theme of honda coz as it is red n silver became quiet common and i wanted something wich would make other cbr owners turnaround too.
waited for 20days n finally got it with awesome finishing n detailing

Please upload the pics fast.... how much did it cost u for the paintjob and did you do it from the honda service centre itself and lastly how is the quality(finishing) of the paint?Originally posted by Seamus View Postasked to prepare my bike like that..
