1-According to me the brakes perform really well. There were times when I had to brake suddenly and the bike comes to a halt within a few feet itself.
2- This was the first time i did some really sharp turns. Initially i was very scared and lacked confidence in the bike as i thought the tyres do not have a good grip and would skid easily (thanks to so many posts telling that) but not even once did that happen.
3- After i came back home, did a rough calculation of the amount of kms covered and the fuel filled and got an average of 35-36kmpl. SUPERB!

Now I am more confident while riding. Saw the true potential of the bike. Worth the money spent.

The best part is when cruising at around 80kmph and then realize that theres still one more gear left. and im like OMG This is the best bike ever

Hardly clicked any pics. Just sharing one
Yes Harsh indeed the bike is fabulous. As RG had mentioned this bike is an excellent piece of engineering. I truly agree with that. I had never enjoyed riding this bike before, but now things are different(Though I still need some time to have total confidence in it)
The bike was pretty planted, even in extreme corners. Though the brakes could have been better. Average is awesome.. 33-35kmpl for a bike like this..WOW.
Enjoyed every bit of the ride. It was nice riding with you guys.

this is a common issue and i guess all of us are facing it. most of us just don't realize. On Saturday, while coming back from nandi hills, this bouncing phenomenon was clearly visible on two other bikes riding next to me.

      To all!

Please check and share your feedback on this phenomenon when you all ride your bike in between 4-5K RPM.
Also how many of you are facing the issue of shade changing silencer shield. When i raised this issue with Honda officials they said that its the first time they have heard of this issue and thats why silencer shield is not part of free kit. Please let me know so that i can give them an approx number.

      Thanks and Regards

The bobbing motion is the only problem and I really wanna know how many people are facing this issue.

Also, I asked the ASC for a silencer guard replacement and they said it isn't included in the kit. How many people have got theirs replaced?
It does bounce a lot on bad and bumpy roads. Have to slow down to like 30-40 from like 89-90 to avoid bouncing like a ball on the road! This, on soft settings is completely unacceptable!
Is this what you are referring to?
If its bobbing on plain tarmac will have to check. It probably happens though have never scrutinized this before.
And what is shade changing silencer guard? I wanted to get it replaced because it is so easily scratched!! bah!

      • thank you rahul for the pictures.was very helpfull.

@chicmagnet .exactly this is the issue that i too face .but this i felt only after running the machine for almost 300 kms.i find the up and down movement more these days and its not only in bumpy roads .i do feel it even when i reduce the throttle .this is really irritating may be something to do with suspension i suppose.there was an post sometime back regarding the replacement kit to person where he mentioned a bush for fork or suspension was replaced .is it something to do with this issue????will have to go back and check the post again.each and every dealer tells one thing regarding the replacement kit.its only HMSI can come out and let the owners know what the kits contain that has to be changed on all bikes.yesterday just for checking this drove almost 50 odd kms and i feel this wobbling on all roads so planning to take the bike to didar t nagar someday this week to speak to the technician.let me see what happens....

For more on hard run-in, google motoman running-in method.

For more on manual run-in, use the ownership manual.

Wanted to share a problem I've been facing last couple of days. While idling, the engine dies and the yellow light comes up and remains on. The bike refuses to start until the key is turned off and then back on again. Anyone faced a similar problem? Happened to me about three odd times. Methinks something is wrong with the sensors.

                  • Yep, there's the bobbing motion on absolutely smooth plain tarmac. Since only the monoshock is adjustable I've set to a level stiffer, checked air pressure (running 29psi front and rear) and yet the problem persists. If the front fork bush replacement fixes it I have to somehow convince my ASC to get it replaced, they say it's not in the kit

the fork bush is included in the kit go and ask firmly for it. they even changed my radiator and silencer guard under this so called kit after changing the fork bush the bike is very much planted and no bobbing motion is there there is a vast difference when you ride it now.....the baby ceeber just got more exciting to ride..!!!
