I had seen this video last week and I was all LOL after watching it. Part of the engine cowl is rusted it seems!!
From when did Honda started making Engine cowl with metal so that it can get rust?

They are just replacing few nuts and bolts, if paint if chipping of from Grab rail, they'll replace that too. They'll inspect the Pro-Link Mono Suspension and if there is some issue with the welding on the bracket, they'll replace that also.

I don't understand why everyone calls it "A Recall"? AFAIK, most of the manufacturer does these. Yamaha did it for R15 and FZ16/FZ-S/Fazer as well.

Will be going to the SVC tomorrow. Will ask them and revert back to you with the price.

Update: Had a small crash this morning. A kid came from nowhere, applied front brake and front wheel lost traction due to the sand/dust on the street. Thankfully I was at a low speed, so had only minor bruises (also thanks to the gloves). Now I'm left with a bent gear lever that refuses to come to its original place while downshifting.

            • Hi all,
first of all congrats to all who have already got their bikes and to those who are eagerly waiting for theirs. i will be getting my del next week or first week Jan. the wait is killing me.
a little intro. i am 32 from mumbai, and riding for the past 12 yrs. its kind of a passion for me other than spending time with my daughter. actually she likes to tag along with me for my rides and prefers bikes over cars. so i get to do both together. so thats all from my end.

Y i joined this thread.: i have been hooked onto this thread for the past 1 month and have gone through all the pages and have enjoyed it. now my turn has come and i need your help as to what do i have to look for while taking the del, what questions to ask and other stuff. it would be great if someone would guide me on this. getting the del from Jhaveri Honda.

              thnx n cheers

I too got my gear lever bent after a fall last week, i am unable to switch to first gear rather i was using the second gear . when i went to svc ,the mechanic simply uses a screw driver to pull the gear lever which was bend ,it look very simple . better u try to pull it by yourself .

                  • HI guys
Yet another time my bike got stalled in the middle of the road. I was riding my bike at a moderate speed through out but at 1 traffic signal I revved it hard & as I shifted down to 2nd gear the engine just went dead. After trying repeatedly bike refused to start.
Called up venetian honda & asked them to send somebody over. Their mech came & said there could be some problem with the valve or somthing related to the compressor. don't know what he was talking about. He had to take the bike to workshop. Now the question arised how?? They asked me to pay for the tempo & I refused. I said its only been a 1000kms & bike has been stalled twice in the middle of the road. Eventually after speaking with the manager the arranged out themselves & took my bike to their workshop.

Just wanted to know has anybody else experienced this problem? Arrgee how did your bike behave when your engine was ceased? Kindly help, cause I'm supposed to visit them tomorrow.

Was planning to ride down to Shirdi .. God saved me.

                    • Correct, Had my second service @ Didar, T. Nagar.

All the rusted nuts and bolts were replaced. And yes Tail Grabs were replaced too Cause of paint peeling issue They didnt have stock of Silencer Guard, Or else said it could have been replaced for free too. Most of the parts which felt low on quality have been replaced it seems. (Yeap was not charged)

Total bill came around 750 I think
