  • today My friend Bought KTM ,
took test ride of TD Bike as well

    small observation

Breaks are better than CBR ,,
personally did not like the look No offense

    digital meter does look great

build quality ,,can't compare to CBR

at first was not able to handle the bike because of Upright position ,,felt like riding passion pro

and also pick up is not as good as BABY CBR ,,as people talking about

IS it just me who is into Cbr alot or anyone else felt the same

    • @KIM i agree CBR pulls better than the KTM but the Austrian is louder on the 3rd gear i wish my cbr would roar....

Screw your courage to the sticking place.

      • Guys, pls, let's not go OT talking about pull & top speed comparing two different motorcycles. If there's another single cylinder, faired, 250cc that is same league as CBR 250R, then let's compare that. Otherwise, it simply doesn't make sense comparing two different segments!!!

Kimshine - Pls be kind enough to discuss anything about CBR 250R here.

I can now operate the brake lever with a single finger as opposed to two or sometimes three.
Can you please comment on warranty becoming Void on use of aftermarket break pads? You got it changed at the ASC so they would have told you whether this voids your warranty or not?

I am also planning for after market pads so would be very helpful.

                        • my asc asked for the bike 4 days ago saying that your shims has arrived. as per they said, i dropped the bike too. after a day i got a call saying the shims that are wrong and we have did adjustments with your older shims to work better. i test ride the bike, but was not satisfied. and was very lucky to spot a xbhp logo on a red cbr. i inquired about the owner and thus met ashik khan there. he also test rode my bike and said that the shims are not at par.
thus i left the bike there only.
the next day they told me that they couldnt arrange the shims as stock taking is going on and it will go on till 6th of april. i understand the genuineness of the reason but couldnt control getting furious as it had been 29th day i reported this issue and they tool the valve clearance report. i met service manager branch manager and parts manager as well. but no help from their side.
finally i said my sales guy to let me know when their director arrives. i then been to the ASC and had a talk with them. he was kind enough to report the issues and take explanations from everyone. and as he knew that there is no scope of getting the job done before 6th apr. he offered me their test ride vehicle to use till then.
so since two days i am riding a red cbr250r c-abs.
first thing i noticed, red is a better chic magnet then my silver baby.
second, pardon my ignorance but couldnt spot much difference in handling between std and c-abs. for me, both perform same.
and last, my ques... does the exhaust sound of c-abs differ from std?? i found the sound of cabs much smoother than my std.

The only difference between STD and CABS is the brakes which has nothing to do with ur exhaust or engine components.
Technically they are identical except for the brake components

i know that too, but this one sounds way better than my std. That means now i got to eat their head for the engine sound as well.
