Can a female with traditional indian wear sit on the pillion seat comfortably?
In short is the pillion seat comfortable?

I have asked the same thing in R15 2.0 thread and answer was no to all the above question. I am looking for a reliable performance bike but pillion should feel comfy.
touring - with pillion - in traditional - indian wear - dont go hand in hand..
well.. whats the traditional wear in ur part..? (if its SALWAR-KAMEEZ) then yes she can be comfortable on pillion seat..

but if saree or skirt then big no for touring with pillion.. yeah small ride to market n all is ok..

      Good Lord.
After so many posts requesting you to learn to "multiquote" on the forums, yet you still havent either found it or you're just ignoring all the members requests here.

Not just you that other member has been registered here since 2004.. Almost a decade later he's just not found the multiquote button either.

On Topic: Whoever mentioned that misfiring sound when the throttle is "almost closed" and descending down the hill, did you manage to fix it yet? If you did please let me know the cause. Thanks

I ll be honest with the F.E of CBR in peak traffic you would get somewhere between 26-30kmpl

If its 50 percent city and 50 percent highway you would get somewhere between 30-37kmpl
of all the differences, you had to point out that it's faired & other is naked....

Guilty, but not because I did not know how to use multiquote. But because I responded to one and then felt like responding to another, after posting the first one.
Well aware of the mulitquote option. Apologies if it has caused inconvenience.

3.With the stock exhaust when descending a hill with closed throttle i used to hear a misfiring kind of sound from the exhaust now with the slip-on that sound is not there any more.

Hence it is already fixed.... isn't it.
By the way have tried this with a couple of other CBR with stock exhaust & both the bikes still make the same sound in the above mentioned scenario.

well dat was kind of rude,.,.,.i am not deciding upon the bikes solely due to mileage but mileage also becomes a big issue seeing the current fuel prices

i love faired bikes so i am looking forward to own the CBR only but below 30kmpl can prove kind of a deterrent as i commute aroun 50kms daily,.,.,.if i constantly ride between 60-100 then can i expect around 35

I own a duke & for daily commuting to office, its giving me ~ 37 kmpl in run in (So the FE might come down after Run In)
On Highways it gives about 45 kmpl (Again in Run In with max speed of 80 kmph). The wind blast after 80 is deterrent which is not the case with CBR
For touring, CBR is better while Duke scores more in streets. That was my opinion when i had to choose between them.
I had other factors counted in which might not be applicable in your case. Hence, go for TDs (not one TD) this weekend.
P.S. - Both the bikes are for exclusively different segments & I wanted to buy both :P
i took a TD of the CBR last week but mayb the test mule was not well maintained as it was vibrating like hell at aroound 5k rpm n felt as if it would break into pieces if revved above it. will take at some other showroom soon.

                          • @hotspot.vipin - it totally depends on what speeds you will be doing the 50 kms stretch.
in my case (I too do around 54kms daily), if my bike is at 90+ I get mileage of 32 but on the same stretch if my average speeds are even below 50 owing to traffic, my mileage goes down to 28 and sometimes even to 25!
On a 10ltr fill, I have done anywhere between 210 - 332 kms for those 10 ltrs on the same stretch of tarmac! Totally depends on the speed of the bike and how relax ur riding is. Traffic means less mileage for the CBR

Appreciate the fact that you noticed it atleast

And ontopic: Mileage isnt determined by speed. It has everything to do with being in the right gear to maintain the Optimum Revv range. What that optimum revv range is anybody's guess. Im guessing its the 6-8k rpm mark based on my observation of fuel efficiency.
