After market Break pads and warranty
Still looking for a reply on my question.Originally posted by piyush2112 View PostCan you please comment on warranty becoming Void on use of aftermarket break pads? You got it changed at the ASC so they would have told you whether this voids your warranty or not?
I am also planning for after market pads so would be very helpful.
Thanks and Regards
Piyush
Can anyone who is using after market break pads please reply.
Really appreciate it.
Thanks and Regards

I dont think there is any warranty on Disks , they may void warranty for caliper
coz u didnt use Honda genuine parts . But my question why u want to buy After market pads ..? Stock Pads costs some 750/- for front and 1200/- If u've ABS version.

Battery Issue
Guys am having a small issue here and need some advice...
On Last Sunday night i went for small round (180kms) to Lonavla On the way to Lonavla i noticed that when ever i switched On Headlights the speedometer back light goes off for a 1-2secs and then come On also Horn wasnt working properly and thats when i realized that battery must be on Low charge but still i continued on my way to Lonavla as i thought that it was because bike was standing for past 10-12 days . But even after riding 150kms Non-stop the problem got worst .
> On Tuesday i called to my SVC and they asked me to bring my bike for inspection , at first Bike started well and i thought that i was right and now battery is fully charged hence ther should not be any problem at all. Ok....at first signal i switch Off my bike and when i tried to start it Bike felt Dead....the speedo metere kept resetting itself every time i press Start button i had to push this 160kgs dead bike to my Parking and gave another call to SVC ...The Head Mech rushed to my house , after inspecting he said that there is hardly any charge left in battery ( BUT STILL HEADLIGHT AND OTHER ELECTRONICS WERE WORKING FINE EXCEPT STARTER MOTOR) . Well as always he took CBR to SVC to do some tests and send battery for Replacement .
> Today morning ( FRIDAY) i got call from SVC that after testing battery EXIDE had sent it back to them and All tests reports are OK ... :O
> Bikes electronics are also working fine and Charging rate is also Normal
Now my Question is How is it possible that even after riding bike for some good 180-190kms battery lost its charge in just 2 days ..? Mech said that there is absolutely no problem with bikes electronics ..?
what could be the possible cause of this ..?

A very good and safe biker not only because he can pop up either of the wheels, scrape his knees on a corner or go fast and make it look stylish but because he very well knows his limits and capabilities and has the patience to learn about others and ride safe ! :)

My initial choice was red then I read about tri-color being introduced and wanted to take a look before committing. After getting a royal runaround for two weeks from various Blr dealers, I finally got to see the tri-color at Sapphire Honda, JP Nagar.
As I posted back in March, I was not impressed with the tri-color, because:
a) too many colors!
b) in my opinion, the colors make the bike look smaller than either red or black. I feel it has less presence than other colors;
c) I was asked to wait for another 10-12 days, which back then was strict no-no.
Though Sapphire Honda offered to deliver a Red bike the next day itself, I decided that my budding friendship with Shankar, owner of Ananda Honda (on Hosur Road near Silk Board) was important enough to go back to them.
On 14th March, I went to the Showroom and completed all formalities. I was promised delivery by 19th, the next Monday.
Then started the Drama! No bike on Monday. Apparently, the Hubli Dealer, who was supposed to send one of their Bikes to Ananda, pulled the plug.
For the next 9 days, my life became a never-to-be-sufficiently-damned and never-to-be-repeated pattern - call up Ananda Honda and scream at poor Hema and Smitha, the CSR and GM of the Showroom respectively each morning, call Shankar in the afternoon. Punctuated by frequent visits to the showroom at all odd hours whenever I could get out of office

I used the time to look for a good riding jacket, gloves, helmet, tank pad etc. Searched the net and settled on DSG jacket, no gloves (I've a problem with those thick riding gloves!), Vega Boolean Helmet and Keiti Tank Pad.
In the background, Shankar was moving heaven and earth to find me a Red Std. Since the Budget, the prices had increased and apparently Shankar could not find a single dealer who was ready to part with a bike @ pre-budget prices. When this was discussed, I of course, flatly refused to pay anything more as I had already completed the payment formalities well (2 days
) before the Budget
He found a Red ABS with (I believe) the Coimbatore Dealer, his friend. Magnanimously, I offered to meet Shankar half way if he were to get me the ABS - I didnt want the ABS, but if I could get a Red Bike soon, I said I'm ready to put in another 15 K
That one didn't work

Finally, Shankar located a Red Std in Bellary sent one of his employees to collect it. They loaded it on a train and it reached Bangalore on 27th of March! I went and saw the bike that afternoon (you wouldnt believe what I went through to find time for that
) and all at once, the fire in my belly turned to sweet sweet music

I'm sure each of you are familiar with that moment when you finally come face to face with the ONE thing you've hungered after! Fortunately, despite the inevitable rough handling a train ride entails, the Lady was in Pristine condition - well, barring one minor scratch on the left rear silver piece - which they could exchange out with another Black ABS they had in stock
<lucked out
>
Pretty decent of them, I thought - I may never have noticed it! Mohan goes to rummage in their Stock Room to find another of the same. Come back with an ALPINESTAR Jacket instead. I saw the brand and said, Dude, I'm not prepared to spend THAT kind of money on a jacket, yet. Mohan goes, sir I'm sure you can pony up another 1.5 K? Cuz that's all I'm asking for this - better brand, better protection, better looking, better ventilation all for another 1.5K??? My wallet came zzzzzzzzzipping out

Went straight to FAW Racing, in a small side street in front of Star Bazar Koramangala. Vega Boolean Red. MRP 1750, FAW price - 1600. Good deal
I've attached a few pics of the Bike and accessories. Dunno how to get the pics in here?
And Now, I'm one happy camper
If any of you find a Red Ceeber cruising through Blr roads under 5K RPM (for now
), with a Big MoFo on it sporting a grin that shines even through the full face helmet, that's me
Hey folks, sorry for the long post, but I had a lot to unload offa me chest. Feeling very cathartic right now
Thank in advance for your comments/ remarks
Congratulations, I must say I found your enthusiasm for the bike and the things you do to be really amazing. Enjoy the ride and ride safe.

Either ur starter motor is defective or your cables need to be double checked.Originally posted by abhiwar View Post( BUT STILL HEADLIGHT AND OTHER ELECTRONICS WERE WORKING FINE EXCEPT STARTER MOTOR) . Mech said that there is absolutely no problem with bikes electronics ..?
